Unless Dell starts every game I don't see us in the bottom 4. Lowest we get is 28th

Bryson gave up on helping for some reason. Olof actually picked up his man then proceeded to lay down instead of just taking away his man and Skinner got beat.
Both Bryson and Skinner should not have been out there.
It was a good play by the Strangers. Horrible breakdown by us.
Love how Dell didnt even try to get across either. Just stuck his stick out a bit.
I franking hate that twat. - DirtyDan
i think peabo was kinda in no-man's land, not really sure exactly what to do once his tallness got the puck, and therefore rendered himself useless...
as for his tallness, goaloffson and skinner, if i'm not mistaken, meatballs has used them a number of times in these situations |

It is difficult (impossible really) to make any determination aside from what the goal this year was for the Sabres when you saw who they signed for goaltenders. - kingcong39
Part of that was also the organizational desire to let UPL play his way onto the team, which obviously didn't happen. I'm not saying counting on UPL was a *good* plan, because it wasn't, but I do believe that was their plan |

New team new system.

it would seem as if he wanted out, based upon the rumored term and asking price of 5-6yrs at around $6m per |

Shoulda payed Ullmark. We have the frankin money to spare.
That's 3 or 4 more W's with a good goalie.
Management and coaching need to get on the same page.
Either were trying to compete or were trying to tank. Can't do both successfully. - DirtyDan
Don’t think he wanted to sign here, just because the team has the money doesn’t mean the players wants it from them, who knows maybe they offered 6 million a year and ullmark rejected. |

Do we not have a veteran checking line? What are Girgs Kyle and Eakin for?

5 points out of 13th place, too. And if Anderson is healthy, they're probably right there. |

i think the goal for meatballs is for the team, including younger ones, to take on some of those high-pressure situations |

Don’t look now but there are still some good teams behind the Sabres and the yotes are coming up quick. Nothing wrong with getting a lottery pick. I’m not sure it will matter who’s in net. This team needs time more than anything right now. |

I get it but that's 2 now ina week where Thompsons line has been out there for last second goals.
Thompson tried he really did. He learned from the Toronto game but why do you have Bryson (an offensive d-man) and Skinner of all franking forwards. Olof did good till he layed down. Skinner is usless in his own zone though.
Bad coaching decisions at the worst possible times. |

I definitely wouldn’t strike off the Habs. Way too early. When the Sabres get 100 percent they could make a run. Way too hard to predict much in this league other than every team in every year will go through a STINK phase |

1-8-1 if a goalie didn't stand on his head vs penguins
team is better then tank years, but only slightly |

they are pretty much what everyone expected
a bottom 8 team that overachieves on certain nights |

all good points...and once again, for as much good as donnie g has done thus far with what little he's been given, he's still a rookie head coach |
