I cringe at the thought of signing a FA center. Pick a center up at the TDL if the team can be improved for this year and beyond, but we've got 8 or 10 centers already in the NHL or AHL. One of them has gotta/better/should/could/must/will rise to the top.

A greed! I think signing free agents, especially top tier free agents are to round out a team not to build a team. I want to see better drafting and development long before I want to see the Hawks signing free agents.

As much as not a fan of the trade of Seth Jones isn't he top 10 in the league of minutes played for a team that didn't really worry about playing defense? So you need a chart for this? Top 5 minutes played so far this year?

The chart is showing the guy playing the most minutes is allowing teams to enter the zone against him at will.

Who cares how many minutes he plays? Is that some measure of being good? Carpenter and Khaira play a lot. Are they good?

Murphy has added value to the Hawks for the last couple of years, however you are correct, he has struggled some this year. I wonder how much better Jones and Murphy would be with more average TOI, they’re both playing too many minutes. I guess that happens when Gus gets ten minutes and Stillman maybe 15, you have to make up TOI somewhere, and btw, I’m not advocating for more TOI for Gus. Also, I’m not saying that I liked the trade and sign for Jones, but 15 points from the backend for the second lowest scoring team(40 goals)in the league is not bad.

Based on the first 18 games - the Hawks are tracking for 66 points
