Missed the 1st period and thru 2 SOG are 27-15 CAL but from what I saw in the 2nd Hawks have many more HDCF. Lotta Flame shots from the outside and seems some decent layering of Hawk bodies between the shooter and Fluery.

In the 2nd Hawks doing a decent job in their zone of making CAL work for their attempts.

And any goalie has a better chance of stopping pucks if his team isn't a clown show in their own zone. Nothing happens in a vacuum but no doubt Fluery has been very good over that stretch.

Yep it was pretty bad, earlier in the 3rd though Murphy playing the pass along the left boards instead of taking away the shot on goal, again, makes no sense

Gotta love a Canadian feed!! First half of the intermission show is devoted to talking about the Hawks. ...... They rightly point out big period for the Flames first game back from a 7 game road trip and looking at a couple days off after this period.

Hawks have a chance here. Getting some Grade A's vs a really tight structured defensive squad.

I thought he played a good game. Couldn’t keep the puck in at the end, but that happens, at least he didn’t turn it over.

This was a measuring stick game for me. I have a lot of respect for the LA Kings cup teams structure the Flames play. Kinda squad that gives teams that don't have attention to detail and consistency a lot of trouble and IMO the Hawks passed the test. Also impressed with the HDCF the Hawks created.

Hrudey has lotsa good things to say about Hagel.
