Penguins have a closed window they just are in denial about it. Their core of Letang, Crosby and Malkin are all on the decline and the support is simply not there. They remind me a lot of where the Blackhawks were in 2017. It's time they acknowledge it and look to the future or risk being a 2018-2021 Blackhawks or worse a 2016-2021 Redwings.

They remind me a lot of where the Blackhawks were in 2017. It's time they acknowledge it and look to the future or risk being a 2018-2021 Blackhawks or worse a 2016-2021 Redwings.

The core is aging but as Ek said, teams that are "Open, but Closing" are sometimes the most desperate making the biggest changes.
