Starting to feel like we should have used ERod at center sooner. He just looks like a different player in the middle.

He's basically replaced McCann.

He is producing fine, he is just frustrating to watch. His decision making is always confusing.

I've said it before, but I think that's just Kapanen haha.
He looks lost most of the game but creates a couple great scoring chances out of nowhere.

Interesting thought. I might want to revisit that later in the year. McCann is off to a great start himself. 7 goals 11 points in 13 games.

And I think McCann could help the PP.

Wow a ZAR goal!

Flood gates seem to be open after 2 periods of relentless pressure.

ERod was starting to look impressive last season and it's continued. I'm still not convinced his play is sustainable, but even with some regression, if he doesn't completely fall off a cliff he's proving to be a solid middle six guy.

Agree. I'm hoping we can keep him around as an affordable bottom 6 center who can move up with injuries.

Although he's made a few mistakes this game, Sid looks like he's getting up to speed. Only a matter of time before he starts producing.

Random observations on WBS lineup tonight

Legare is out, not sure if it's injury or healthy scratch (WBS rotates in healthy players a lot)

DOC 1st line center
Poulin 3rd line RW
Bellerieve 3rd line LW
Bellerieve can't seem to get in top 6 despite being second on the team in points only one goal though.

They’ve had a pretty rough November. Wonder what another year or two of jr would have the baby pens looking like haha. Or big pens for that matter.

They struggle offensively. Last I saw the PP was on like an 0 for 35 streak. Puustinen is the only one with strong numbers and he slowed down. Bellerieve lots of points but 1 goal. Robert ok and he isn't even in an NHL deal. Poulin is 4th and not even .5 points per game though I hear his all around game is good.

Still too early to tell. No centers to drive play down there.

It's the AHL. I'm not saying that isn't a factor, but those guys should be able to do more on their own. Puustinen isn't having a problem.

The pre-Thanksgiving game is always one of my favorite to go to. Everyone is in a good mood and a lot of out of town Penguins fans are there so the crowd is more lively than usual.

Couldnt make it this year, but looking good so far.

The problem for him is that no matter how he plays in the regular season, the same question marks will be there come Game 1

He's looked good. Wonder if the new goalie coach has anything to do with that.

Puustinen is actually 2 years older than Legare and Poulin. He was also playing against men in Finland. He also skates really well.

Not saying Poulin or Legare will make it. Just saying I'm not judging anything after 15 games of AHL hockey.
