If AV were to get fired i'd bet even money that Yeo would be the interim.

It's way too early to be pulling any plugs. Lot of season left, stranger things have happened, yada yada yada.

But... we know this is a team with some fundamental flaws. The issues with own-zone coverage last season, their lack of goal scoring, the PP, etc... they are all symptomatic of not having the puck enough, not taking care of the puck, not playing with enough structure and support.

Throw more talent at this thing, more shooters, more defenders, and it's not gonna fix a damned thing until they get on the right/same page.

I thought this was supposed to be fixed with practice time. The team still looks slow as well. And can’t keep pace with others. When a pick is in open ice. Always seems like we only have one or two players that can skate to get there.

I still don't think they have the right mix of players to be a contender and still don't agree with the direction the team has taken. If they don't get the ship righted quickly, it could be all over

Don't worry. Fletcher changed the culture of the team this past off season. That is going to kick in any minute now. Last night's lack of compete was just a bump in the road. The lack of goal scoring and poor PP is just a little mini offensive slump.

it is a cumulative effort of failure across the board. Coaching is just 1 piss poor aspect.

Firing Vigneault and naming Yeo the head coach would be a waste of time in my opinion. Need someone from the outside. I believe the Flyers struggle to play Vigneault's overload system.

I would agree w that. I would have tanked AV after last year. The Flyers just laid down towards the tail end of last year w 0 fight. They got destroyed by NYR at home down 5, 6, 7 goals and no one seemed to care.

Miss the playoffs or not, the way they played while still in contention was a disgrace. Sh8t after that 2nd ranger blowout that would have been it for me.

Even when they are playing well (2 years ago) they just don’t posses the puck enough. They still look bad. I just don’t see it with AV.

And can someone explain to me why JVR is not parking in front while Prov fires wrist shots on the pp? Seems to be a pretty basic pp strategy. JVRs hands did not magically disappear over the summer.
