Overpaid . Vlady does the same thing at a fraction of the cost.

Sutter has a shelf life. Enjoy the high ride as it lasts. Most players can't stand him and grow tired.

Hits Buddy......hits.

hits are one thing but coming from all the halfings on your team they don’t do much damage.

that’s 13’ of goaltending right there
Sitter’s only signed for another year, Gadreau’s already come out and said he’s the best coach he’s had in the NHL
Green’s expiry date is past due, he’s starting to smell moldy.

You are praising a player ( Gaudreau ) that six months ago you couldn't get rid of fast enough. Who is next Monahan?

Like I said enjoy the ride because when it comes crashing down you will be looking to Lordy and Loadey for sympathy and comfort.

Great article Carol! Ive said it before and ill keep saying it. Letting Tanev walk was a huge mistake, first Hanafin and now Kylington flourishing with him as a partner not to mention how well he played with Hughes and how much he misses him in terms of stability. New coaching would be good, just doesnt have these guys playing to their potential.

One skate the other can not.

The idea of bringing in what would be too of the oldest coaches out there. No need to bring in another rookie NHL head coach but even a coach on his second go round, would be better.

Benning isn't in a rebuild though, unless he can over pay in free agency or get players back, he won't go for picks. They take too long and he won't keep his job.

I am not 100 % certain that Jim's and Travis's jobs are on the line. Everything I see or hear looks like they are trying to fix the room. I don't think they would have sent Travis on this road trip today if he was going to get canned. He looked confident at the morning presser. Almost looked reassured by upper management that he is still okay.

I think there are lots of issues with the team and nothing immediate would solve everything. Jannik Hansen said today there is nothing about this team that makes them seem like they are going to turn everything around immediately.

Toffoli 4 goals after 20 Games
Stecher regular healthy scratch
Flames 4-4 in November

Who do we miss next Ben Hutton ?

- VANTEL

Toffoli better than D!ckinson
Stecher better than Schenn/Bowey/Poolman
Tanev great underlying D stats and playing a prominent role for a resasonable price

Hutton has more PIMS in the same # of games as Schenn

Stecher stinks
Tanev has won nothing
Toffoli back to normal.

The penis envy in Vancouver doesn't get any bigger. BTW we won nothing with all those players.

I like how for Tanev you just talk about the Flames as a whole because you know he's playing extremely well

Imo it's extremely tough to argue this team wouldn't be better off if at least 1 or 2 of those guys were still here.

He averaged 50 games a year as a Canuck and we won SFA .

Does not matter how they play for other teams . He had years to win a cup here even with the two heroes the Sedins . He didn't put up points . He didn't make us a top 10 team and the puck was always in our own end.

Is he defensively responsible ? Sure
Will he help the Flames win a cup? Not a chance in hell.

Tanev wasn’t effective here. Coaching? Perhaps. But given his injury history and decline in play I was happy to walk away. Although benning didn’t replace him so there is that

I think Benning actually did replace him with Nate Schmidt who is having a very good year. As a Canuck fan I have come to the acceptance that as soon as they get here they turn to sh1t and soon as they leave they find themselves again. Holtby and Edler also look good in a new uniform.

Which is a massive massive red flag. The talent is there. The systems are the problem. Trying to fix the room is going to make the problem bigger and draw it out a lot longer.

I agree with what you are saying but I don't think the owner feels the same way.

As I said a few times I don't have much faith in this year and am okay with going after one of the top three centers.

sorry bolding is dumb on cell phones but I agree about the issues and that a trade won't solve things.

I think a lot is mental with these kids. Young, someone also injured. Plays in the back of your mind.

Problem is none have really consistently peaked yet because of the injuries.

Stability and growth of staying healthy, mentally and physically for entire seasons.

If the plan is too take time with this core, then it could be another year or two before they all grow together. Doing something drastic again might not be the right thing.

I did hear Hamonic wants out. Just too bad hughes needs him.

I like a lot of things on the ice and don't mind the losing. If I am being honest I think the chaos off the ice is entertaining as hell also. Never a dull minute.

There is a lot of change going on but most of it I like.

Are you guys taking crazy pills? Tanev was consistently effective in Van, it was the rest of the team that was in shambles. He was a high quality playee for virtually all of his time here

Thanks Carol!

If genius Jim has the Aquilinis so bamboozled that he has the go ahead for a long term coaching change I’ll be surprised. I can’t imagine any of the experienced guys would come here on a show me deal.
