This team has a cancer.
- A_SteamingLombardi

The cancer has metastasized – it's the entire organization. First step is for Aqua to step back from being so hands on and hire smart, established people for the upper management roles.

Something we've talked about before via The Province... how bad does it have to get before the other Aquilinis step in?

Yeah that would be nice but billionaires don't release control, especially if it's about their ego.

I think, like the article suggested and has been written about before, the family could step in if it's damaging their overall brand and name. They're pretty hands off with the Canucks aside from Frencesco, but if it starts to impact their entire operation, things could get reeled back a bit from daddy

These are the same guys who built leaky condos, it takes a lot to damage their brand.

Nah, they fire them just as the team is about to get on the charter home, that way they save his seat for Benning and FA's monkey that'll do the interviewing and hiring for their new HC. After all, if an infinite number of monkeys all type on a typewriter, they'll eventually type out the entire works of Shakespeare.

I remember a time when pages and pages of this thread were dedicated to determining who was a better GM; Gillis or JB.

What a circus this franchise is. A never-ending parade of clowns.

The Flyers and the Canucks are basically the same organization

“The following Flyers players were not on the roster last year.

Atkinson
Brassard
Brown
MacEwen
Thompson
Ellis
Risto
Seeler
Yandle
Jones

10 new players. 7 of them have played 16+ games. That's a heck of a lot of turnover and re-shaping of the roster to be the same team on the ice.”

The JTM "I don't know" if everyone is buying in comment says it all.

It can't get more embarrassing for this team.

@HockeyStatMiner
NHL teams in playoff position on Thanksgiving Night have ended up making the playoffs 77% of the time in the salary cap era.

Notably that’s 77% of the time for both the four-division (74/96) and six-division (86/112) formats.

*excluding shortened seasons

Hopefully, papa Aquilini takes little Frankie's toy away from him and gives it to an adult to fix.

A fun blast from the past, Botchford provies from the Tortarella era.
