That #8 on the Flames is one heckuva defenseman. Such a smooth defender, and reads plays extremely well.
Wish the Canucks had a guy like him.

Fire the regime and build back up with a PRESIDENT OF HOCKEY OPS first. Then that person hires a GM and together they hire the COACH of their choosing. You know... a chain of command. FA needs to do this 1 thing right, then go count blueberries.

The lack of a Pres is a glaring problem.

I think FA is giving JB the instructions and leaving JB to figure out the answer.

Everything JB does has a certain parameters that have to be met to be able to do it kind of thing. Not a lot of freedom that other GM's would expect in the job.

Amazing how a good coach can change how a team like the Flames plays. They are good at pressuring the puck, back-checking and puck possession.
I remember when I suggested Sutter as a coach, he was called a dinosaur, yet he is noted for a strong puck possession systems coach.
I doubt the Canucks superstars would be able to handle a team game that a coach like Sutter insists on.

I have only seen the Flames play twice this season, Canucks 3 times, but I am enjoying watching your Flames.
