Just saw this stat, we now have let in 12.32 goals above expected. That's 3rd worst in the league behind only the Yotes and Kraken. Average goaltending would be super awesome right now. - QuinnFan
no quinn
no krebs

none of their 3 goalies
no sameulsson

so they sacrifice this season for the 2022 draft
and more ice time for asplund, tage, cozens, casey, dahlin, bryson and joker
if we had a top 3 pick in the 2016 draft and pushed off getting kane, bogo, ror and lehner for 1 more year, we would have been the panthers or canes a few years before they were good
my 2 cents of course - homiedclown
I agree with this post. Yes, we have been suffering for 10 years. Might as well suffer one more year (this year) before hopefully addressing our most glaring issues - goalie and right-D. With all the players Homie mentioned above and the removal of the scrubs, next year's team will be substantially better.
However, I hope they give UPL the start this Friday. They can't put Dell in net ever again. UPL needs to share the net with Torkarski until Anderson is ready to play again.
“Never have I been comfortable as a coach trying to say it’s a goaltending thing,” Granato said. “Even if, at times, you thought maybe that could have been a save, you still look at the things that led to that and work to improve those. If that’s the case and it’s a goal we didn’t like, there are other things we can turn our attention to that are within our control to become better at."

If that was his intended thought process to indirectly say his goaltending sucks that will eventually come back to haunt him. His coaching decision making has sucked at points also and his high horse status could soon be lowered to riding a donkey out of town.

The goaltending far outweighs any other problem we have right now. It isn't even close.
Donnie has done very well considering its his first head coach position in the big leagues. He'll grow like his players are doing game to game.

This is a sincere question -
Do you have some relation to the Sabres goaltending coach or something?
You’ve stuck up for the goalies, even Hutton last year and they’ve been all time bad for the most part

You're asking a guy who literally said: "I watched Patrick Roy play growing up and think he is the greatest goalie ever, therefore, Dominik Hasek sucks and couldn't stop a beach ball in today's NHL."

Please don't misinterpret what I said there bud. I said Hasek was great in his time but his style would not hold up in todays game. That is my opinion based on the more advanced quality shooters in todays game. Tell me your not the guy that said at 56 Hasek could still put up big numbers in the NHL.
Again and I repeat he was a great goalie in his time and so was Roy. If I could bring back one today to face todays shooters it would be Roy as his style would still fit todays game.
If you don't like my opinion its not my fault bud. You have yours and I have mine. Yes I was a goalie coach at one time and made a good living at it. Just in case your interested im not hurting for coin either.
In summary Hasek was great in his time.

1.) No, that's actually what you said, sorry bud.
2.) I said Hasek could put up a .900 sv% and a 3.00 GAA at 56 - I wasn't aware that's big numbers?
3.) Whether I like your opinion or not is moot - Your opinion is garbage and you sound like a moron.
4.) What? You're not hurting for coin... Like, what? What does that have to do with anything?
Also, while you may have been a goalie coach, I'm a "calling out on people's bull-crap" coach and you sir, are completely full of crap.

Thank god, he's terrible. The worst part is, he's a decent blocker and has 9.8 YPC receiving this year. Our moron of an OC doesn't know how to utilize ANY of our position players and use them to their strengths.
I would like to see a big game from Brieda. 65 yards rushing, 40 yards receiving, a TD or two.
Singletary averages 5 YPC but they only give him the ball like 7 times a game. Most likely due to his fumbling issues. 5 fumbles this year after 5 total his first two years.
Might even have to go RB in round 1 this year depending on who is there and where we're picking. We need that weapon out of the backfield something bad.
