That's the thing him and Smith have no clauses. I still think Theodore was supposed to be in that Eichel trade, Vegas made the necessary moves to make it happen, but Whitecloud got hurt, and find it interesting what Gerbe's said about Olofsson and with him being hurt at that time to. |

They're almost at the quarter pole of the season, and so far, there's only been one dud (Calgary game).
The dud per game index is much lower so far this season than it was under Ralph last season.
Incredibly low bar for sure, but still noteworthy, especially considering their injury issues. - kingcong39

Going to be fun to see what they look like when both Mittelstadt and Tuch are in the lineup. |

They really do seem to have the talent to ice a decent team, it will be very interesting to see what they do next year. Think there better than they expected. |

There is a trade to be ,ade there for sure, IMO of course.
As you, I and others know the Cap required to bring back from LTIR their #1C they just traded for is The Asset. They'd be crazy not to drive for more of a return, and they should get it, but thinking the return has to be equal to a "hockey trade" just isn't realistic.
I generally like your trade proposal yielding them $4.5m Cap space, their #2 back and Hagg for depth on D which all teams covet in the playoff run. Do they need more? Would you consider Bryson an upgrade over Hagg? Would you make that switch? |

Yes, we are deep at LD, we need are 1RD and then go see if the Islanders want Miller for say Bode Wilde.
Dahlin Theodore
Power Joker
Samuelsson Pysyk/Wilde |

Not sure I like that switch. Bryson has shown some great growth. I understand the depth on the left. I am also not sure I am bringing power right into the nhl next year.
2023/24 left side
Dahlin
Bryson
Samuelson.
Haag works. And I’ve liked him. But to get the 1RD. We need that! Dahlin needs his partner. |

I feel like Vegas greatly values Theodore and despite their cap issues, he's one of the very last players they would move.
They'd likely ask for someone like Peterka and maybe the Florida 1st for Theodore.
I cannot imagine Hagg and a 2nd being nearly enough. |

Would you let them have there 1st back instead of the 2nd, and Peterka is a no go, your helping there cap to. |

oooo. Late first and Haag.
Yeah. I probably do that.
Would you do Olofson 50% retained and their second? Or a 3rd? (No idea if cap works)… |

I forgot about him. I still know more of what Bryson is now vs. power and Johnson though. I’m not ready to ship him out. |

Kinda alluded to that a little earlier. With what Gerbe's said and the moves Vegas made before the Eichel trade I think Theodore and Olofsson were gonna be involved until Whitecloud got hurt and then Martinez. |

Why would Vegas take Olofsson when he's going to need a new, expensive, long term deal after this season that will likely pay him at least as much as Theodore, if not more? |

I cannot stress this enough: Theodore is not a helping Vegas with their cap issues deal from the Vegas perspective.
Reilly Smith would be helping their cap.
Theodore plays big minutes for them and is on a great deal.
I would put Theodore in the top 4 of Vegas players that they would not move.
I'm confused why you think Vegas believes otherwise, and please provide more reasoning aside from cap issues because that is not nearly enough of a reason. |

I don't believe otherwise, Theodore is a great player, but for Vegas it's a position of strength to deal from. They have younger defenseman ready to go. And Olofsson would have been insurance with all the injuries at forward they have had. |

They have young defensemen ready to play the 24 minutes a night he does in all situations?
They don't.
Olofsson is insurance for this season, but you left out what his new deal would mean beyond this season. |

Upon further review: Neither of the two goaltenders will be around past this season and a lot of the questionable play in front of them was expected and will either be live and learn or good luck on your next team.
There's really nothing the organization could do about goaltending. UPL hasn't earned a shot and who exactly is out there? Injury prone Hotby is all I could think of that would be something to plug the hole. Goaltenders are the offensive lineman of hockey. Demand outweighs supply.
If they truly want a goalie, they'll have to trade for one. Which is not the answer either until they truly have a team that's a playoff caliber team.
In conclusion. Suffer in silence. |

Because I don’t think that far ahead. Lol. And jack and Olo in the playoffs would be dangerous. |

JJ is off limits
Quinn is off limits
Samuelsson is off limits
Johnson is off limits
Levi is off limits
Portillo is off limits
UPL is off limits
Any 1st is off limits
Where else, who else will be prepared to absorb the kind of Cap they need to bring back their #1C while their Window is beginning to close? |
