That rushed rebuild is also why their goaltending is in this state. Darcy drafted Ullmark, JB drafted UPL. That void in between caused this.
- Lunaion

they drafted peterson and johansson in between

problem was they made a trade for a drunk goalie who could not make a save in the shoot out

that's what set the goalie back, their 8 year plan fizzled

Thompson is having a career year.

Asplund is solidifying himself as a solid middle 6 forward.

Olofsson has looked very good in limited minutes.

Cozens is having a great sophomore season so far.

Other than Dahlin being meh, everyone who matters is doing quite well, or being kept miles away from Buffalo (Power, Johnson, Krebs, Quinn, Peterka, Samuelsson, Levi, Portillo)

I could care less about making a run to 8th. Give me one of Wright, Savoie, Cooley, Geekie and make some good hockey moves this offseason and try to win next year

- Pegullaville

I know this post isn't directed at me, but my whole gripe is they gave up on the season in November when they didn't have to. Not fair to us the fan.

26 was overhyped from jump street. 72 looks better all the time.
- lacaprup

i'm gonna say that by the end of the season, 26 will have made some great strides in his game...he'll still have his defensive sturggles, but we'll be seeing more and more of what he was drafted 1st overall for on offense

I don't disagree with that at all, but I think 72 is turning into a dominant player on many shifts. That gets better with CM back.

Been there, done that and we just traded that player a few weeks ago. At some point you have to try to win something other than the lottery.

Dell and Tokarski are terrible goaltenders playing in the NHL. The real reason they are in the NHL is they are good enough to be there. I’ll say it again. NHL shooters are better today than ever. No longer do teams just focus on one or two players when a team may have 9 or more weapons. Goalies lives matter.

Sure, and we had 0.28 xg.

So we are losing 1-0 after the first if NHL goalies are playing.

- Pegullaville

Our goalies aren’t exactly NHL quality
Dell blows
Tokarski has mostly been a career AHLer
And Anderson is a way past his prime 40year old

Xgoals just doesn’t really apply to us

Now if we were to bring in a legit goalie……

It’s 4-1 in the 3rd. Time for the Super Sniper Tage Thompson spectacular meaningless goal.

I just think a couple middling picks for some decent goaltending would do wonders for this team. A couple big saves/few less goals scored does wonders for a players psyche even when being down in the game.

If only Alex could hit the net from the point he'd have had 50.
