I just think a couple middling picks for some decent goaltending would do wonders for this team. A couple big saves/few less goals scored does wonders for a players psyche even when being down in the game.

It would also do wonders for some of us who are sick and tired of losing 8 of every 10 games

Random side note

Going to the Sabres game ….. you will not need a mask. I’m at the game and since it’s a vaccinated building. No masks needed. I’m assuming the stadium is the same

Hypothetically, if Boston had buyers remorse with Ullmark, would you ship them a 4th to get him back? Forget the NMC. I don't think that would be an issue

Been there, done that and we just traded that player a few weeks ago. At some point you have to try to win something other than the lottery.

Montreal went from Cup Final to Wright sweepstakes. The Isles, albeit not as black and white due to Covid and injuries, aren’t faring that much better.

This seasons success, or lack there of, has no correlation to the fortunes of the 2022/2023 season.

The Sabres have quite possibly the deepest pipeline of talent they have had since the early 2000’s, however they lack a franchise Center since trading Eichel.

I don’t care about losing 30 more games this year by tanking if it means getting a high end Center prospect that will pay dividends when the core of this team is thriving a couple of seasons from now

I'm actually surprised at the Campbell number. He was on a couple very good teams, and he was a big part.

Edit: he had a classic "beautiful" game. Not physical but could be. Amazing skater. Almost a european player

How hard is it to find a journeyman starter when you have more cap space than anyone in the league? No excuse. We're not asking for Pat Roy.
- lacaprup

My point is that you shouldn't have to look outside for the most basic of needs. They shouldn't need to sign so many journeymen every year.

You could have gotten Koskinen and a pick from Edmonton.

Montreal also lost Shea Weber and Carey Price. Not sure if that’s a prime example.

We have used so many assets in trades to fill roster spots because we didn't have any prospects worthy.

One of the best transition players in the entire league and on a 43 point pace. Reinhart had 49 points his sophomore season and Vinny Himistroza is no ROR

And poor goaltending is an issue this team has dealt with for years at this point. With or without Wright it's going to cost us games like it did all throughout the Eichel era. If there's decent options to be had via trade than Adams needs to be exploring it. Eventually you have to try to win, idc who the #1 pick is.

I'm an analytics guy but I have to say the eye test just doesn't back that up. Yeah, he gains the offensive zone line well but his decision making from the blue line in while on the transition is often terrible.
