Can someone confirm if Stinger trusts the Habs developing Caufield properly?

and even then they still haven't had real success in the playoffs yet.

And the Habs have?

Get off the Covid-free pass high from the last 2 years.

meh, like I've already said I find that argument is moot, covid happened for every team in the league, it is what it is. if you want to discredit their run that's up to you I guess.

Bottom line, there is not a trade (or 2 or 3) that would make the Habs a contender, if there were trades to be made and those players did not have NTCs.

Likewise, there is not a single free agent (or 3) that will make the Habs a contender, even if they wanted to come to Montreal.

And it is clear the Habs do not have the talent in their organization to set themselves up as a contender.

So what are the options then?

Seems pretty clear.

this doesn't make a complete dismantle the best option either. I don't think we can properly evaluate the team from their current performances since 95% of the guys are playing like poop right now, the same way it would've been a mistake to think they could continue on having the same kind of success after reaching the stanley cup final despite losing so many key guys.

And doing (frank) all and being a poop team for most of the last 30 years is just fine?

Players don't want to come here as free agents (unless no one else has cap room or wants them), players have NTCs stopping trades to MTL...

How else do you fix this poopshow?

I am ready for something different.

Cause winning 1 out of every 4 games cannot be worse than a complete rebuild at this point.

And when did I say that ?

You look like a guy looking for a fight, I dont know, Maybe go to the grocery and fight someone ?

All I said, and its good in any sports, you can't sell everyting , need to keep a few vets to teach the kids. Edit coupled with a rebuild is not a guaranteed sucess

I agree DD MB and TT needs to be fired, then if we can I would trade

Chiarot
Lekh
Allen
Dvorak
Byron
Evans

Keep
Gallagher ( need to anyway with that contract)
Toffoli
Anderson
Edmunston
wideman
(Coco and Suzki, D'uh)

Would trade but dont think there would be any taker :
Drouin
Petry
Savard
Perrault
Armia

I'd trade Toffoli for the right price.

I'd also keep Evans. There's nothing bad about that kid centering our 4th line moving forward.

And despite his abysmal season, I don't think Petry is worthless in the eyes of many GMs out there. But it would definitely be a "sell low" moment.

Oh and keep Dvorak too. Might as well after spending two picks on him. He's not a bad player and his contract is fine moving forward.

I wouldn't keep Wideman. Moving forward we shouldn't need him.

8 points in his last 8 games, never takes a shift off, amazing contributer on the PK and scores big goals at the most important times....

I don't know guys, maybe this guy should stick around.

Who you ask?

My boy Lehkonen of course!

He can't do everything by himself.

On the 4th line.

Playing against the other team's top line.

While fending off Mashadar's attacks.

I'm hoping the team soon reaches a point where they know the games don't matter at all anymore and they can just have fun with it, they would probably get a few more wins here and there that way, and look less pathetic in the process. right now it's like they're all about to apply for the player's assistance program.

Disagree strongly for Toffolli, goals at that salary you wont find that much in te NHL, also a good guy defensively and likes to play in MTL ( also rare)

Then Petry Is the one I really hesitated if I was bumping him one category, time will tell I guess !

Evans I would trade if he continues scoring goals here and there and somebody is interested, my guess is he wont play long because of concussion issues, that why...But I like him too

Then Dvorak...dunno I hope somebody saw last year what the habs thought they saw and remake our mistake by offering something good, to me he seems he would have trouble scoring in a (frank)ing soccer net right now
