I came across this company from South Carolina that sells heirloom grains and rices, all cold milled that it ships up here. They also have these amazing recipes that are just so much (frank)ing work. This shrimp bisque was so good but they wanted you to use homemade fish stock which meant driving around looking for fish heads or frames. It was a two day process but man, was it good.

I’ve also never tasted better rice. It sounds weird to think that there’s a big difference but it is so good. But again, more work. Cook it in lots of water, drain and then spread it out on a baking pan with dabs of butter in the oven to dry.

I've had similar experiences when I go to Finland and shop for potatoes at the grocery store or the market.

Huge variety of potatoes that have incredible amounts of flavour. It's almost a crime to eat them with anything other than just a bit of salt or butter.

I've got Roger Waters tickets as well -- looks like it's been rescheduled to July 8th, 2022. I'll have to confirm my tix are still good, I never asked for a refund (not even sure if that was possible).

I think I've only missed Peter Hook and the Light once since he started going through the whole New Order catalogue. Love Hooky - my favourite bassist of all-time! Frankly, I think his shows are more interesting than the recent New Order shows have been -- but that may just be the smaller venue bias I have talking. 🤷

Agreed. I think Joel is being really charitable in his Holl take. Like, I think Holl hasn't been as abject terrible as the first few games this season but he's so obviously out of his depth and only hangs on because of cognitive dissonance (e.g. we know he sucks but we love the idea of a 2M second pair RHD).
