Donna in shambles tonight.
Adam Boqvist who he truly believed would never ever play a single game in the NHL scored against the Canucks. |

Laugh all you want but…
All time winning percentage for active franchises:
Nashville #5 1,731gp .557
Vancouver #30 3,946gp .448
https://en.m.wikipedia.or...tandings_for_active_teams
Now, if we want to compare apples to apples we can look up Vancouver’s winning percentage for their first 1,731 games but I don’t think you’d really want to see that. - bloatedmosquito It's not as if Van has NEVER EVER had a decent defence.
How many SCF has Nashville been too? |

Is that the same guy that freaked out on me 9 games ago when I said the coach needs to get canned, and said Green would have them back above .500 by game 20? |

Just a matter of time before house is cleaned. What if Aquilini’s actually been too hands off and he’s let Benning do what he wants for too long, which has run the franchise into the ground. - LeftCoaster
Lefty I’ve got a question for you... all hypothetical of course....
Would you Trade Pettersson straight across for Barzal if the opportunity arose? |

Very true, but I think Lefty was saying build from the defence out. I kind of agree, especially now that we have a pretty good young goaltender. That’s the first step. Next is defence. Then centre. Followed by the rest.
IMO that’s the safest route to build. Might not get you the cup but at least it would keep your fan base engaged, interested, and hopeful. It’s still an entertainment business last time I checked. |

I've been a fan of this concept for awhile now.
It would be a long rebuild though, not sure if Demko will still be around by the time we can ice a decent D corps.

There’s something to that. I like your perspective. |

I think the first step would be getting rid of Myers. Looks like a baby giraffe learning how to walk most nights. And soft. |

Right handed shot center, better skater, better attitude….100% in my books. |

That’s now 8 straight losses for the Islanders…including 4 consecutive losses in their new arena…and 2 of those 4 home losses, NYI have been shutout. |

I’m talking more theoretical because again in my opinion FA, JB, and TG have wasted a very good opportunity to be a contender. They have the pieces to build a competitive franchise (minus the d-core), and when you’re competitive then luck can play a roll in getting you that cup.
Luck wouldn’t even help this team right now. |

He’s shifty too and seems to be more solidly built. It’s something I hope for but know it probably won’t happen. |

Our 08-09 defensive core was Bieksa, Ohlund, Edler, Salo & Mitchell. |
