Honestly, I wonder if maybe some Blackhawks fans are too embarrassed by the 2010 scandal to really work up a good hate for any other teams this year. But don't worry, we still hate you. Yes, you've sucked ever since the Blues knocked you out in 2016. But the Chicago/St. Louis rivalry has survived years of Blackhawks playing embarrassing hockey in the past, I'm sure it will survive how much you guys suck now.

Being from central Illinois, the St Louis Hockey Team qualifies. The only time we didn't have beer "accidentally" spilled on us was the time our seats were in the top row.

Why would Caleb Jones sit? I would think Kalynuk would take Stillman's place in the lineup.

Familiarity breeds contempt.

Of course, rivalries can build in the playoffs. Have to get in the tournament first.

That is what I don’t understand, they already know what Gus is, they’re not going anywhere, why not give the guys that are up and could be part of the future the ice time. Let’s find out if they’re keepers or not.

To be honest we as fans have no control of what happened or didn't happen regarding to the scandal. Let's be honest scandals have happened in every other major sports and will probably continue to happen unfortunately. We as fans talking trash to other team's fans have a lot to do with the team playing subpar compared to the last decade. But don't get it twisted we still hate the Blow's and a few others. I'm sure you wouldn't be here talking crap if this team was playing like the championship teams. Blow's still suck and always will suck!

If you think we should be embarrassed you should likely be embarrassed for the company you work for. What happened in Chicago happens everywhere if you don't think so you're naive.

Tough to have modern rivals in professional sports. Too much turnover, too many teams and a bunch of these guys train together in the off season.

But still fun for the fans to get into it a bit. Part of the distraction.

Kind of weird Gus in the line up but the other Jones didn't look especially good either.

I wonder if Gus is in the lineup because the PP has not been successful lately? Maybe the thought is have having him at the point might be what it needs. Having Gus in the lineup is still not as frustrating as to why Pace and Nagy still have jobs.

I'm hoping CJones out is due to him still ramping up or his injury needing a day or two before stepping back in.
I'm going isolate more when watching on Gus, last couple games I watched I was VERY impressed with his skating, as in it really stood out to my eyes.

Gus confusing but Carpenter is fine.

Its Carpenter, Johnson, Khaira, Hardman all in the line up at the same time. Should be 2 of them tops ideally.

Nothing is going to really change until the tdl and offseason imo. Right now king and Crawford are just trying to figure what works and what doesn't. But rather see Reese Johnson Borgstrom and Hardman see more ice time than carpenter karia.
