MJLs not wrong. If they were going to "rebuild" you don't trade young players and assets for older players. If you don't like the young players you trade them for picks or other young players. The management isn't entertaining a rebuild. - rayc16
If someone needs to have it explained to them about the possibility of what can happen with aging players on multi year deals and relatively high cap hits in a cap environment in the NHL. They're either not paying attention or it's something else. |

What were the other options? He also wanted to move on. But doesn’t matter. We had to clear cap. Saved 2.3 mil and got a player back that can play in the top 9. Supply goals and better defensively.
So what is you solution? Who would’ve been your cap casualty.
So we can move on and the same nonsense won’t be posted daily. But not surprised. Same people still talking about Ron. - Peter Richards
Saved 2.3 M per in Cap but added one extra year so pretty much a wash |

Watching the Blues on the CI package, I keep wondering what might have been had they not got the booby prize second overall lottery pick and kept Schenn...all the alternate realities that might have occurred..Ughhh - RajaAmpat
Schenn would not have made a difference over the last few years |

Who’s talks to people this way.. spent a ton of time around people in the game and no one is disrespectful like this. Not on the ice anyway… - Joe Nardone
Ha ha. Well, in your circle of buds/colleagues is there a guy who:
1. Will, in response to a list of wagers 2 out of 3 of which are 50:50, accuse the lister of not offering 50:50 wagers?
2. Complain that odds were too favorable for the lister and that lister should "Man up and bring it closer to 50/50" when, in the case of the 1 wager in the list that is not already even money, that would result in making that wager even more favorable to lister?
3. In response to a picture of a former correct prediction by lister, say it was absolutely obvious to all at that time, when said picture shows same guy at that time himself declaring prediction was "virtually impossible?"
4. Then try to wiggle out of this absurd situation by repeatedly arguing, constantly editing and re-editing his posts, not just with me but across a decade and a half, with virtually every poster who has been here?
It is not 1-3 that makes him a legendary wacko. Anyone can misunderstand odds, or be slow on the uptake, or make a mistake. People admit it, or drop the issue, and move on. What makes him a wacko is his belief that by constant arguing, he can change the underlying logic. What makes him a legendary wacko is his persistence of that belief.
Yeah you do not. If there was a guy like that in your circle, I can guarantee he would have heard the truth be told about him on the ice: that he is, on merit, a legendary wack job. He would have heard much worse.

They couldn’t. If they wanted to improve. ANY team can AFFORD any player if the player is a difference maker for that team….JVR although a decent producer was not that player. - landros 2

clode ex selke Jake Schenn Simmonds all in their prime. A young dynamic player in Ghost. Seems like a pretty good core to build around. Or trade them all. Yet Saint Ronnie whiffed on both.

I am sympathetic to what you say, but come on man: there is no major hockey market in North America where they could have had the resuls they did last year and have mgmt sit on their butts and stay the course.
It would be like fiscal hara kiri. Mgmt does not commit fiscal hara kiri. Thats why they are mgmt. |

You just cant help yourself and have to get personal whenever you're confronted. Despite your self anointed superiority and claims of superior intelligence, even after having it explained to you multiple times. You still can't understand that the comment on odds was not in reference to 50/50 money bet but in regards to the odds of the Flyers winning the Cup in the next 9 years or what ever it was. That's what the bet actually was.
Why would anyone constantly argue with someone they consider a legendary wacko? That's really what is truly reflective of someone.

Those odds were already 50:50. So, your comment of "Man up and bring it closer to 50/50" makes the same amount of sense that you do in such interactions.
For the vast majority of times in the past year, I routinely ignored you. Why don't I this time around? Simple: politeness, and a hope you would change and not go down the rabbit holes of moronic wack-jobbism.

I think it was overly obvious that changes were needed…it does become a challenge to make the ‘right’ changes. Did they move all the ‘right’ guys out and bring in the proper pieces? Did they do enough? Should they have aimed to bring in a difference maker talent? (Easier said then done). I can’t think of one of the guys they moved that would have helped with today’s issues….how do I know this? Because I watched all of them play last year with the same results and they weren’t the answer then….just like they wouldn’t have made us any better today. |

I am on a different (frank)ing list.
Ok enough of this. Yeah, Frost has looked decent to me, and made some nice, responsible plays in our zone. |
