That is what I am talking about ... is it AV's fault Sanheim, who has got to be the STUPIDEST F**n hockey player on the planet, decided to pass the puck instead of taking a point blank shot??
- jd250

No but it’s absolutely his fault to continually put Thompson out after we score or against the Canes top line.

There is only one thing worse than turning over the puck ... STANDING STILL AND PUCK WATCHING AFTER YOU TURN IT OVER!!!!! If I were AV, I would tell Thompson to go back to the dressing room, take off his equipment and get up to the press box.

Sadly Flyers have to many Beer League guys. That won't cut it in the Metro

So, what happens next...hope that they get better when Hayes and Ellis return? Watch another year go down the chute? Hope that this clown car of a team figures it out? If its my call, Tocchet Is on the bench Sunday...why not...is AV gonna be here for the next cup?

AV coming out with thompson after RR scores.......wouldnt you want to try and keep momentum up? AV does himself know favors. Im totally on board with him getting the axe asap.
- bradster

Its a head scratcher…it’s predictable and it never seems to work.

for sure, he'd be up in the press box if it were me. Got to love MacEwen, I don't mind him taking the extra 2 there.

Same here. Yeah, the MacEwen pick up has been nice. He seems to have some offensive creativity at times. Real shame he’s glued with Thompson.

Well I certainly am an old boy...but be!ieve it or not this Flyers team has more talent that Yotes team. Problem is too many hangers on, when you really look at it no intensity. Someone needs to kick these guys in the ass! They aren't listening to AV

To be fair, I love Risto and I don't think it been his fault, but he has been on the ice for the last 3 goals against. Then again, so has Thompson!

Q:How many years ($$) can a Corp get out of a loyal fan base before they have to put out a better product?

A:Still counting...

Been a while since I've been on this site, or any site that has to do with the Orange and Black... Do we still suck?

That's OK we'll get a good draft pic, and we are soooo good at those...

Just a reminder that Chuck Fletcher traded this guy and two picks away for nothing:

I don't know what to make of this.
Even with the injuries, which every team has to deal with, this team consistently appears to be outworked. Are they universally that slow? Are they lazy? Is the system that disorganized? Or are they incapable of executing?

I doubt the defensive zone break out scheme is predicated on a soft chip up the boards to a winger with his back to the blue line. Or that in the defensive zone when play is reversed up the far boards that the other team's defenseman is there well before our winger.

They just get beaten on too many puck battles and our forwards are too easily ridden off the puck by the other team's defensemen. This team is softer and slower than the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

One of Konecny or Farabee should be traded. Fairly skilled players whose work effort is inconsistent. They're easily taken off the puck and don't win many puck battles. They both have a tendency to be out of position in the defensive zone, causing them to run around aimlessly. They get spent in, get tired and then make poor puck decisions leading to giveaways. They're basically the same player. We don't need both of them.

So would this team be better if Brindy was the coach? Answering my own question... absolutely yes.
