One of Konecny or Farabee should be traded. Fairly skilled players whose work effort is inconsistent. They're easily taken off the puck and don't win many puck battles. They both have a tendency to be out of position in the defensive zone, causing them to run around aimlessly. They get spent in, get tired and then make poor puck decisions leading to giveaways. They're basically the same player. We don't need both of them. - GeorgeBailey
What do you want them to get for Konecny or Farabee?

we know how he was here under AV, you think that wouldve changed this year? - bradster
If a coach doesn't know how to make full use of a good player, then get rid of the coach, not the player.
Ghost is playing Provorov minutes right now in ARI, btw... top-pair minutes and handling it well. The team around him is a shambles but he's rising above it all.

I know, its just comical .. Provey and Braun have been brutal, yet you never hear a peep from him! - jd250
What don't you get. You made the post about Ristolainen and said you don't think he was at fault for any of the 3 goals he was out against on.
Do you not recall the post I made in the first period where I said that they played with basically one line?
This is what happens when you ally yourself with certain entities.

Just a reminder that Chuck Fletcher traded this guy and two picks away for nothing:
Up to 15 points in 20 games, +0 on a team that's -37. - Tomahawk
Same guy that any team in the entire league could of had for free….I guess the other 30 GMs dropped the ball as well? |

And I agreed with you! But look at the last Hurricane goal, Risto was on the ice again, but was that his fault too?? There were no Flyers on the left wing there, how can that possibly happen?? |

I'll let you know after I watch the replay. The Flyers have had issues sorting out coverages all year.

I don't know what to make of this.
Even with the injuries, which every team has to deal with, this team consistently appears to be outworked. Are they universally that slow? Are they lazy? Is the system that disorganized? Or are they incapable of executing?
I doubt the defensive zone break out scheme is predicated on a soft chip up the boards to a winger with his back to the blue line. Or that in the defensive zone when play is reversed up the far boards that the other team's defenseman is there well before our winger.
They just get beaten on too many puck battles and our forwards are too easily ridden off the puck by the other team's defensemen. This team is softer and slower than the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

I can think of 15 guys I would trade before Farabee or Konecny…I guess that’s just me.

How annoyed are the company fools that everything I've said about this franchise is true. Got to be tough to swallow. |

Hey, the Flyers have scored 3 goals in this game. That's progress, right?
Unfortunately they gave up 4 goals in that period. |

Not quite though, right? He had a significant contract (late in the season when he went on waivers) that other teams would have to pick up.

All the right moves were made in the off season. The problem players were moved out and the culture was changed. Fletcher for GM of the year.
