Saying that Pouty & Huggy are untouchables is retarded. They would be the first 2 I'd trade. - Marwood

I think it is. There comes a point, even for self absorbed and selfish owners, to look at their failed attempt at staying relevant for the purpose of maintaining sales and profits, and make the proper business decision to make good long term financial decisions at the price of short term. - Codes1087
FA is not capable of this kind of thinking. They need a new family member to become ownerships face of the franchise. They need to get rid of management, get a president and new GM. Make a coaching change and completely retool the team. Trade Miller, Horvat, somehow dump Myers. Consider this a failed season and try to compete next year.
Horvat for Schneider and Chytil
Miller for Fiala and a 1st
Fiala for 1st plus
Pearson for whatever we can get.
Get a right shot centre for our 3c, Richardinson to the wing.
Podkolzin - EP - Garland
Hoglander -Chytil - Boeser
Richardinson - RHC - Motte( I personally see him as a 3rd liner)
Dowling- Lammiko - Chiasin
OEL - Poolman
Hughes - Hamonic
X - X
Not a team that will win a lot, but let's us know what to do in the offseason and we will have the assets to improve our team for the season after. |

How? Would Pouty tell Marchand he can’t play Fortnight with him and Hughes ? |

I don't think Pettersson is a quick fix. So I don't think a new GM or coach is going to flip a switch.
I realize the coaching staff is terrible but so is a lot of the team and some players may have been over valued.
I would like to see them play out the year and continue doing what they do best (losing) .
I think changing FA should be immediate and the do proper searches for the GM and Coach. - VANTEL
I don't know of too many players that come out that quickly in their career's and fade into darkness. |

Geoff Molson in the presser says if he could back up he would've hired someone to work along side Bergevin like he's doing now with Gorton and the yet to be named GM, it's that big a job in this market.Geoff Molson in the presser says if he could back up he would've hired someone to work along side Bergevin like he's doing now with Gorton and the yet to be named GM, it's that big a job in this market. |

I don’t think EP’s rookie season was a fluke. I think he is that player. No idea how the injury has affected his play but I think he is who we thought he was, a future superstar.
But he’s young, entitled, and probably a bit selfish but aren’t most superstars? Even Crosby’s attitude was questioned at the beginning. Same with OV. So many super talented players were labelled with attitude problems. Not all players can be Joe Sakic.
Maturity fixes those issues and I think time will change EP and QH for the better. Just got to ride out the immaturity and selfishness. That’s where management and coaching staff earns their money. Keeping poop together while your core matures… kind of like what the Avalanche have done.
Again, not everyone can be Joe Sakic. lol. |

It's the battle of poop tonight. 6-14-2 taking on 6-15-2 and then off to Ottawa 4-14-1
If the Canucks lose both of these games or 1 of these games. Miller than coaches the team before trading himself. Benning trades away the Canucks first for help. Probably for Tyler Johnson.
You know what I haven't heard yet is whether Kane has cleared waivers. |

That was 2012. The SCF against Boston was 2011.
So, which year do you mean? - NewYorkNuck
I'm referring to 2012 with the sweep. Wasn't it again LA?
I'm saying, that despite winning the presidents trophy again in 2012, i would have welcomed a rebuild after 2011 and sold high on players then. I don't think GMs would have seen canuck players with the same value in 2013 that they did in 2012. if GMs see UFAs who make the finals and give them massive money, even if they are bad (Beagle, goodrow, Coleman, savard), I imagine they still value players who are under contract as well. |

Maybe that was Wiesbrod's job but he got scared.
Dani Briere is rumoured front runner. Got to be French. |

Schenn did try to hit him but he fell to the ice.
Guys run around like that but ducks and falls, anything to get out of the way. All other 31 teams should make attempts to kill him every game. |

I met him a few times when I lived back on the coast, very nice man, old school. Never understood why people went so crazy over the Canucks. Didn't watch games, called it "idle time".

Everything is speculation except what he does on the ice. You can’t doubt his talent because he’s produced like no other Canuck has ever done. Talent wise he’s the best player this team has ever drafted and to give up on him now because of FA, JB, and TG is just beyond crazy IMO.
Many of us saw this coming, repeatedly stated our concern, then labelled as whiners. Oh well, there’s always next season.
