Im sure after Ottawa and our situation they’ll change whatever ridiculous protocols they have. It will be a much smaller number of infected personnel needed to postpone games. Not fair in any way, shape, or form but you can bet your arse that’s exactly what will happen.

Most likely to the Rangers or Pens. They’ll probably be some divisional games and they’ll postpone them at four players or somewhere around that number.

Lets be real, this team was in complete disarray before covid. Where would we be with Eberle and Leddy, minus Palmieri and Bailey? I think its time to blow it up and start over. Just getting older and slower. I would keep Sorokin, Wahlstrom, Pageau, Nelson, Pelech, Pulock, Beau, Mayfield, Cizikas and Dobson. Everyone else is expendable or can be packaged for a good young fast return. I know many will say Barzal has to stay but I disagree. Takes off way too many games, takes stupid penalties, does not have a great shot and does not make smart plays or shoot when he should. Fast but far from elite. Just my opinion, Im as frustrated with the way things have gone this year as everyone else.

Step off the ledge Bro. Team was .500 on a 13 game road trip. Before it was over we lost Pulock and Nelson. Then 7 players on Covid mostly top 6 forwards and top 4 Dman and you want to blow it up after 2 ECF seasons in a row? The 1980 Islanders couldn’t have survived under similar circumstances. Will they make the POs this year? Probs not, but if any team can pull it together and turn this around I believe this Trotz lead Islander team can. Without Leddy and Eberle imho.

The Isles have slipped to 28th in the NHL behind such powerhouses as the Kraken and the Sabres. Meanwhile, I'm glad to see the Leafs at #1 when it counts most......November.

As much as I have been looking forward to Thursday's game, it really is in the Isles' best interest if the NHL postpones some more games, hopefully to a time when the injuries to 2 key players (Pulock and Nelson) have healed.

I fully expect the NHL to wait till both Pulock and Nelson are fully healed. They’ve been nothing but helpful for the Islanders this season.
