I've got cousins by the bushelful in Rockport which is right on the gulf in Corpus... shimpin' all the time.. it's ok..

If you do Galveston be prepared for chemical and oil smell all day everyday.. if you work in the industry you get used to it... but trust me it takes awhile... and hope you like hurricanes..or at least violent tropical storms...
