I miss his toughness a little but I don’t really miss him with the leafs tbh.
- Dozzer

Yeah liked the toughness but thinking we can upgrade with a vet there that brings the same and likely be better

AND THERE IT IS!!!! 3-2 Wild!! Beauty

Statement:Over the past few weeks, we have been discussing Evander’s return to San Jose. We were not surprised by the Sharks’ decision to put him on waivers and, if he does clear, he will report to the Barracudas. Evander is looking forward to resuming his NHL career this season

My parents and sister lived in Ojai for a while. I’ve lived in DC, Minneapolis, NYC and Connecticut but I’m done with your country for reasons that will get me banned to discuss. Won’t be visiting.

The French thing might be coupled to the local hopes of getting the nordiques back right now. Wouldn’t be shocked at all tbh.
- Dozzer

Still honestly think that may well be a pipedream. They have to literally get a team to move. I don't think there will be expansion at all. Thing is which team would actually wind up getting shifted and moved there? Love to see the Nords back but...

See I get that but lets face it, it IS more fun when they are a good team and competing. Makes the wins and battles more... intense and important I guess.
- Roadrunner75

I worry when they’re in the playoffs. The Habs are really fluky and could win it all. The last 2 cups they won were total flukes and the bastards almost did it again last year.
The Habs winning a cup bothers me more than the leafs not winning it. I’m old and it’s deeply ingrained.

A bottom pairing d man… meh… move Holl, play Dermott, and then all of a sudden once Mikheyev is back the leafs can afford a 13th forward and a $750K vet d man to sit as the 7th.

I’d say move Dermott or Holl but Dermott doesn’t give them enough cap space to be able to hold a 13th forward and a 7th d man

Resuming his NHL career? NOBODY wants this headcase. He has been run out of how many teams now by his own teammates? He causes no end of grief in optics on the teams he has been with too. The guy is just a toxic commodity. I don't even think they want him with the 'Cuda really around the prospects either. Not someone for them to learn anything from. SJ is in a bind here honestly and stuck with him and they don't want to be.

Switched over to the Minnesota vs Tampa game and I don’t know why I hate Tampa so much now just because of their shifty cap management but I hope Minnesota takes them down lol (currently 2-2 in the 3rd)
- Dozzer

(frank) that noise.

I got Vasilevskiy and I need a goalie win to break the tie. Need Tampa to come back and win this one.

People keep trying to believe it will be Arizona but the owner is already working on setting up a new arena with another Arizona town.

Also because of that team Matthews exists.

The NHL will fight like hell to keep Arizona from leaving the state.

If the league extends to Quebec then they’ll have to find another good home for another western conference team.

Yeah I agree there though thinking honestly move Mik too cause he isn't gonna want to play bottom line defensive. Maybe put them both together get another 3-4 guy and run either Holl or Dermott on bottom pairing there. It's going to be tough there regardless moving and making a trade I think but never know.

Having depth at d is a good thing though. As soon as they trade one injuries will probably happen.

Florida and Arizona are two teams ripe for relocation.

But only Florida would make sense, since they'd just stay in the East. Move the Yotes to Houston.

Oh I agree… unless Mik and can overcome Bunting or Kerfoot in the top 6 he’ll be given half a dozen games to show his value and get moved I’m willing to bet

Drop Kerfoot into his 3rd line role and then rotate Engvall with Simmonds until the trade is made.

Then trade Mikheyev, bump Engvall back in full time, and use Clifford as the 13th forward

That’s why I also include getting a vet guy at league minimum to be their 7th

Hell, even if it’s Biega from the marlies, he has 241 nhl games in his career, and is in his 30s… perfect type to drop into the bottom pairing when necessary

I have no idea why Bettman wont let his Yotes die already. Hockey has never really worked there at all going back to when my dad was on the Roadrunners there. Sheeesh. I think yeah they likely wind up in Houston and the Aeros return which I would love to see.

Florida could be the east team moved to bring back Quebec though kind of almost wonder if Melnyk finally winds up out and it is Ottawa that ends up moving which I wouldn't like BUt MAY make sense there in the end too

Holl isn't depth. He's a menace to the team.
