History has shown that Holl is not that guy. Muzzin has gotten hurt every playoffs and Holl was exposed.
- GreatGigInTheSky

You might be right but to my eye Muzzin has left Holl out to dry alot this season.

You’re right about that. Personally I think Dubas will shuffle Lilly up and down. The leafs are pretty good at working around the cap.

Someone will end up on ltir probably sooner than later.

I can totally see it happen that way as well to be fair to your opinion.

The only thing I see happening if anything will be show off Mikheyev, and move him for a mid round pick. Which would be beneficial for the leafs enabling them to not move a D. Just send Liljegren down, and bring him back up after moving Mikheyev.

If they could pull that off then they’d be able to keep Clifford as the 13th, not change the d men, and get another pick for 2022 when they only have their first and their second currently.

I think they need to make up their mind about Mik before showing him off for a trade. It makes sense to give him a shot when he comes back and then decide who they like and what they can get for Mik or Engvall or whatever.

I’m not sure how much time they have between Mik and Mrazek returning: 3 or 4 weeks? Less?

New GM could for sure go that route, which is 100% their choice. But if I were the new GM and I realised that that team is going nowhere fast, I'd hold off on bringing "my guy" in until the team gets a bit more set.

Bring your guy in too quickly and it could lead to an early firing if things go wrong.

Unless they can get an all world coach that is in demand. Then sign that guy immediately.

It's almost like cancel culture doesn't actually remove a thing from its existence but, rather, it seeks to ostracize a thing. 🤔

That’s messed up. 25 mill per for 7 years. Ouch. I think they’ll end up regretting that.

I think you’re misapplying a term if you think a single person can somehow “exclude” a country of 300 and whatever people from existence or society. I maintain the right to decide not to have anything to do with a country just like I’m sure there are people you don’t want to associate (smelly or boring or obnoxious neighbours).

Less than a week.

Also unless they show off Mikheyev they will have to trade him for nothing like St. Louis gave Clifford to the leafs.

Also, stop comparing a bottom six winger like Engvall to Mikheyev… if Mikheyev doesn’t get top 6 minutes he won’t resign with the leafs this summer and go elsewhere.

So play him for a few games in the top 6 and move him for a mid-draft pic

I get that… but right now he’s worth what Clifford got the Blues, which is nothing.

So play him half a dozen games and hope his speed alone (his legs didn’t get hurt) will land them a 4th or a 5th. As soon as another team offers that don’t pause and make the move.

As much as it sucks, this is probably right. Liljegren can actually be sent down with no problems, even if he's shown that he deserves to be in the lineup every day.

Muzzin has for sure not played as well as we've been accustomed to, but he's played a (frank) of a lot better when he was paired with either Liljegren or Brodie.

The reason it looks so bad with Holl is because Holl can't cover Muzzin's mistakes. Muzzin gets hung out to dry just as much or more by Holl but it doesn't look as bad because Muzzin has defended decently after them.

This more than anything got Bergy and Timmins clipped..

Timmins really coasted off of drafting Price/Subban/Pacioretty/McDonagh for like eleven years
