Yes you did. You labeled Ristolainen as one of the top defenseman in the NHL. Hamilton is legitimately one of the top defenseman in the NHL. Ristolainen has never been dominant in his entire career. He is and has always been a mediocre player.
The focus should not be on Ristolainen. The only reason it is here is because of your delusional posting and trying to absolve him of the obvious mistakes he made. The entire team stinks except for the goaltending. Which is starting to erode.
Myself and others such as Tomahawk predicted this and pointed it out to you and others on how the Flyers were actually playing. At every step you disagreed. All of our interactions turn out the same way. With you being proven wrong. - MJL
Honestly, I think you are basking in this right now, and that is sad. There is nothing to be proud of here, nothing! This team is making comical mistakes and losing games that they should be winning. I don't agree with you at all about this! You can state anything you like but your lack of evidence is all that matters here. What is clear however is you have hated the Risto trade from day 1, and you have been wanting him and the team to fail and now you are like a pig rolling in mud! All because they fired your hero, saint Ronnie! You are one sad act and clearly not a Flyers fan when you root for them to fail! |

I'm more concerned with seeing what the Flyers win during my lifetime. I've already seen the Devils win 3 Cups, that is quite enough. The Flyers are basically on the ass end of a 50 year drought, and couldn't be further away from a Cup if they were based on Mars. - PLindbergh31

Basking in this? What exactly is my lack of evidence? I'd love for you to clarify that and what you don't agree with exactly.
I didn't like the Ristolainen trade from day 1. What is there to like about trading quality assets for a mediocre player with a high cap hit that is a pending UFA? I was however willing to give him a chance to change my mind. He has not done so to this point.
Yes. I'm one sad act because I wanted the team to stay in the direction that gives them the best chance to build a quality team. Yes, I'm a sad act because I want my team to win a Stanley Cup and I'm tired of mediocrity. |

There have been enough injuries this year to have an inbuilt mgmt excuse, given the way sports businesses work. Indeed, even if fans stay away, the covid excuse is there.
However, likely scapegoats are AV and gang if they cannot right the ship. Risto stays. Roo stays. CF stays. - PT21
I do not disagree with you. Sadly.

Yup, right now I agree with you. Which is why I posted what I did this morning, I'm really tired of seeing this trash game in and game out an then hearing in the post game how it was just a couple of bad bounces and bad luck that caused those two 3rd period goals, and they just have to stick to their system. At least Laughton agreed that the Flyers spend way too much time in their own end, and AV stated clearly he felt good about the game in the 3rd, as did I, and he was disappointed that they couldn't make basic plays down the stretch. Farabee believes though they are being outshot that most of the chances are not dangerous! I can't believe an NHL player is not more in tune with what the metrics are stating about the mismatch in HD chances for most of the season! |

For the majority of the season, you were denying what the metrics were telling us about the team. Only until recently during this losing streak and down turn in play did you come around. Which is what typically happens. Deny, deny, deny, oh that's true.

Look, I don't really care if you will ever understand this, but you CAN'T build a championship team by ONLY drafting and developing! Its impossible! Even Tampa needed to bring in players to get them where they needed to be. And quality assets? Yes they traded 2 picks and bottom pairing Dman for a top 4 Dman. The Flyers traded something to get something, they took a risk and I am fine with that, and so should you be! |

I thought this team could be a playoff team and would be more entertaining to watch. It looks like I was wrong. - MJL
I'm disappointed thus far, too. Not counting out the playoffs just yet because there is still plenty of time.

you didnt like any of chucks trades, but most of that is your bias against chuck instead of the actual trades. Its not chucks fault that ronnie got canned. Dont be such a hater

Thanks to xfinity, MSG, and the NHL I was unable to watch the game last night.
Before the game I was thinking it was a good opportunity to get the ship righted a bit.
Opportunity squandered. - Scoob

I honestly don’t see Ristolainen or one single player as the issue of this team. I don’t see Provorov as being the one single problem on the PP (if Yandle can’t get it going…). |

yesterday was the first game this year i didn't watch. And it was refreshing...you guys should try it.
We can still argue about RR and how chuck screwed up everything that was so great from Ronnie, but it'll free up some time not watching this $!it show.

Nothing wrong with taking a risk. Ellis was a risk worth taking seeing the direction the GM wanted to go.
RR was not worth that risk in any way for what they paid. Imagine getting taken by the Buffalo GM. Embarrassing. |
