Sup Boss. I hear ya man. Hockey is hard to judge. Luck plays and get a hot goalie at the right time and you can be champion.
I just really dont want to be in the record books for sucking really bad. I would trade getting our suppose 1C for a playoff birth this year. Easy decision for me - ZiggyBuff
That record probably won’t bother you guys that much if they build this team into a serious, sustainable playoff competitor in 2 seasons or so. Somehow you have to separate now from all previous to last year. They’re pretty much starting over from the locker room attitude to their game on the ice under a new coach, with the former “big 3” all departed. (If things go as they plan) They are going to become a real team that will battle for each other, with enough skill to make a difference. You can’t really rush the development of these kids that will be the new core of the team. If it’s done right they will be challengers for several years.
They will get a better goalie by next season, if they can’t swing something sooner. There’s really no need to rush and overpay for a goalie, as much as they could use some help right now. |

It's actually more frustrating to hear they were handcuffed by Ullmark, got burned by him and had to flail around trying to get a goalie they had no chance of and the whole time we've failed to draft and develop any goaltenders since the original tank year. - BeadyEyedDouche
Do you really believe the Sabres were going 100% on ullmark?
I question it. Maybe they bid up a divison for and stuck them?
Oft injured , never proven... big long term deal.
I liked the guy, but doesnt fit the plan IMO |

I think they assumed he wouldn't have any suitors and at the last second were like "Oh wait" as he walked out the door.
I'm not saying we should have kept him for that contract but I think we handled him more or less like we did Reinhart. |

I'll settle for a mediocre goalie who comes cheap. Or really any new idea. Doesn't have to be better, I'll settle for different |

That Could be, but wouldn't that type of $ bother terry, and also defeat the purpose of losing to win?
I like how they handled both players. Neither was worth their contract IMO. Non - core.

You oversimplify these things way too much
From what I remember that year, he started incredibly slow, had O-line issues, Gronk missed 3 games, Edelman missed 4 games
How do you know a different QB doesn’t do worse in that same scenario? - sbroads24
The Patriots are now 29-19 (60.4%) without Tom Brady since 2002.
16 of those games with Newton and missing half a defence due to Covid opt outs.
22-10 without Brady or Newton since 2002 |

lol thank you buddy. i’m mostly content to read a bit, and drop some nonsense every once in a while.
i’m having some ‘fun’ watching our boys this year tho…minus the goaltending. and i love how the kids are playing in roch, and our ncaa goalies, and i hope we leave upl down in roch…his development has been such a roller-coaster…i’d just like to let him chill.
ok, sorry to interrupt brady-chat.
happy holidays boys |

Winning 60% of your games doesn't make you a consistent playoff team in the NFL...
But winning 78% of your games as Brady did as a Patriot certainly does

They’re a great organization with maybe the greatest head coach ever
That’s why they’ve gone to as many SB’s as they have
I really think you underestimate how hard it is to win a SB, especially for any QB like Rodgers or Manning who has had to play in the same league as Brady and the Pats.
Rodgers having a SB win is impressive considering how badly the Packers have put a complete team around him in his career |

Newton was a bottom 5 QB last year and they were missing half a defence.
22-10 works out to roughly 69% of your games.

Efff the Patriots - c1067
When Peyton Manning gets hurt, Colts go 2-14.
Pats continue to win 64% of their games.
How does that impact Brady’s legacy ?
What would happen to Green Bay if Rodgers goes down tomorrow ?
Rodgers taking those Green Bay teams deep every year is more impressive than Brady QB’ing the best all around roster with the best HC ever.

Pats and Bucs have both won 8 games this year and I have absolutely no idea who plays RB or WR for the Patriots |

They’ve played completely different schedules under different circumstances.
Not everything is even across the board all the time like you want to make it out to be.

Good post
All things being equal, brady winning the superbowl in tampa gives him the lead over bill and the patriots.
Until they win another one...
