Of course but also Granato didn't make the adjustments needed, multiple times the team played far too high in the defensive zone and Granato let it continue.

Seattle forwards got behind Buffalo's defense 5-6 times and that shouldn't happen more than 1-2 times before they make changes.

Defensive breakdowns allowing for open shots in the slot was a big no no and happened repeatedly.

Don G has stated several times that he’s not going to coach these guys much. That they know how to play and what they’re supposed to do. He’s going to let them sort it out for themselves.
