While I respect your opinion, as someone that enjoys a wide variety of genres and generations of music, there are many amazing female vocalists that came before that were truly exceptional. I have difficulty granting any musician greatest of all time for that reason. Having seen Nicks several times, including what most would consider her prime years, she was great. So were Aretha Franklin, Koko Taylor, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Maria Callas and scores of others.

Underrated female vocalist... Grace Slick.

wonder if Roope Hintz is available at the deadline?
- senstroll

Maybe. I'll stay out of the hopeful pick-ups at deadline this year.
Pushed hard for Foligno last year and look where he got us.
Suffice to say he's lost a step or two.

For female artists, it's Joni Mitchell or Carole King.

Nobody else is in the same league.

Love Carole King

Also Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and even Carly Simon. You're so Vain is one the best songs ever

No more veterans that can't play, if the Leafs can't find the wherewithal and motivation to succeed in the playoffs with these past experiences, then blow it up. I don't think they need a geezer from another team to come in and motivate them anymore.

Also would be fun to see Matthews go Iginla and drop the gloves once in awhile

As much as I love The Beatles and think Ringo is a totally sweet/swell guy, I just could never get into any of his post-Beatles stuff. Having said that, it might be fun to go see his act in concert what with all of the special guests -- I'm sure it's a fun time and less about Ringo doing his solo bits.

I've never seen Paul McCartney live either. It's funny, now that I think about it: I'm not a big fan of any post-Beatles solo stuff. I mean, there are a bunch of tracks from each of them that I really enjoy ("Band on the Run", "My Sweet Lord", "Jealous Guy", etc.) but no one album I point to and say, "this was (frank)ing fantastic".

I could say the same thing about Floyd and Led Zep: I think these guys had a synchronicity together that speaks to me that their solo efforts don't. 🤷

Ringo is and has always been remarkably underrated. You should check out his first album from 1970. Watching him get to the keyboards and break into this number is pretty special. I doubt he tours after this one, and I can tell you as someone that has seen many shows, way more than 2000 - his shows are always great. His final encore will be With a little help from my Friends I'm fairly confident.

Agree. Looks like he's adding a bit of that to his game. Luv his net presence lately. He's a nightmare to handle most anywhere on the ice.

I once stood/danced 3' from Gwen Stefani at a small bar in Vancouver. I plugged my ears while intensely staring at her "music".

True story ..we went their to see a long forgotten garage band Rusty and No Doubt were the openers.

There were about 30 people in the bar until Rusty came on and filled the place.

I totally missed my chance.

Was exceptional in my view. She walked away from it quite some time ago, gained a ton of weight and paints. She's pretty good at it IMO. Love all the stuff from The Great Society to Starship and everything in between. I have an autographed (by Grace and Paul Kantner) copy of Blows against the Empire.

Is she the foreign one? Have you watched any of the doc?
- Canada Cup

She's the one who sits incessantly beside John and, on occasion, decides to freestyle some screeching. Oh, and she likes to sit on other people's amps.

I'm half way through episode 2. It's definitely a long haul but I've been definitely geeking out during it.

I can see how doing these episodes in chunks, as you alluded to, makes sense.

I'm not sure I agree with him being underrated because there's a lot of people who actually consider him one of the Top 10 rock n' roll drummers of all-time. That's... a bit of a stretch.

I think he was definitely invaluable to The Beatles in that he had zero ego and was, largely, a very genial and agreeable person -- something that Paul and John certainly weren't known for.

"Don't Pass Me By" IS underrated though. Absolutely love that track! I'm also willing to die upon the hill that the Beatles version of "With a Little Help from My Friends" is about a million times better than the over-wrought and overrated version by Cocker.
