The only reason his +/- is not worse is he is always out there and we are scoring more goals this year... IMO

the reason why i brought up getting burned wide by speed in his own zone is i think he's starting to learn how to counter his deficiencies on defense

But he also wears his emotions on his shoulder and lets plays get to him during games. It happened last night. Something he needs to work on.

He's never lived up to the expectations. And I don't think he ever will if playing for the Sabres. He's been ruined...and the only remedy is trading him, where he'll flourish. But I guess I'd rather put up with him here then to see him succeed elsewhere, UNLESS you get 5 premium pieces ! (shoutout to Garth).

So if the trade package is great, I'm ready to move on from him - don't care how young he is. He will never succeed here as his mind is fukt and this is hockey purgatory.

Trading him would be travesty at this point.

Then were looking at Power at #1 his first year here and that would mean A LOT of mistakes.... or even better Colin Miller? Who is worse at the offense and not much better at the defense.

It took me until year 5 to have the disdain for Risto people have had for a much better player in Dahlin in years 2-4

He plays Defense... He should prob be good at that part of the game. yes he does help the offense but at the end of the day if he is a minus player every year he is not helping the team.

look I like Dahlin, I want him to be a better D-man, but right now he is pretty bad..

IMO the best dman on this team right now has been Mark Pysyk. he is steady makes the right plays and does not try to do too much with the puck. I wish Dahlin would do that more.

Obviously Dahlin is a big work in progress, go and get him a good Defensive partner and let him play his game and as time goes hopefully he learns and improves his D game.

And for God's sake if Samuelsson is ready and in game shape bring him up to replace Hagg.

Your right the defensive d-man has been the best D-MAN.

But the game has moved towards having a 4th forward and he is that.

Karlsson still sucks at defense.
