it happens...he was a fourth-rounder that many of us thought would be a usable bottom-six pest in the mold of brad marchand (without the scoring ability however)

Yeah I dunno it's hogwash, great players can be found all over, even though of course your best chance to hit is at the top. If your scouting department is worth a damn, you're finding Pastrnak and Corey Perry and Zach Parise and Mike Green and Anze Kopitar and Claude Giroux and John Carlson and Andrei Vasilevski and Shea Theodore and Matt Barzal and Mikko Rantanen and TaGe ThOmPsOn and Jakob Chychrun all over the first round. If every other team can do it, so can the Sabres. You don't need to win the lottery to draft a great player. When it comes to McDavid drafts, obviously things are a bit skewed.

It is fun as (frank) though, tell ya that.
