Our standards are way too low

agreed.

Just lose with dignity is the new bar.

They could lose the next two years from what i'm seeing and it would be "at least they are watchable"

They are more concerned with the bottom dollar then winning, he need pitching and still keeps looking at guys that have been torn up. He's all talk, they want to win without spending and for starters I would trade Judge in a heartbeat. He swings at everything or strikes out.

Spot on about the bottom line. Steve Cohen just upped the ante at the big boy table, and I wonder if the Yankees still have a seat there. They need a SS and we're hearing chatter about the prospects and one more season as if we root for Tampa. I heard Randy Levine say Aaron Hicks was coming back! Yeah, he's excellent for the 40 games he plays and useless for the 120 + playoffs he misses.

I certainly don't need Judge because I have Stanton, but as a Yankee fan I expect both. I wonder about the Steinbrenner's net worth and ability to deal with where baseball salaries are going. I can see why a lockout or strike is coming.

Teases you with brilliant CF play and a switch hitter. Then gets hurt in game 20.

The Panthers will eat them alive if Dahlin plays like he did last night
- Hank Balling

I think what bothers me the most about dahlin:

What appears to be lack of emotion. Lack of a pulse.

I was at the harbor center and saw pekar give him a shot, and dahlin destroy him.
They interviewed dahlin " I got mad" bs...

He needs to play angry. Mostly at himself 🤔

Why was yesterday's hip check the only one I can recall all season.

Absolutely, but I'm still impressed.

Looks like he hired a good coach in donnie
He's handling the prospects well IMO
Made a couple good trades
Resisted dumping skimmer or okposo for picks (maybe)
Teams exciting to watch
Setting up the future, by losing with no goaltending.
Girgs signing looks good
Signed mitts / joker too good deals
Rochester looks organized, he hired the organizers

You're right though, expectations are low.
Wins really prove worth.... hopefully this is designed

- Boss34

it seems as if donnie meatballs is slow with in-game adjustments, which was (is) to be expected from a rookie head coach with so little nhl/ahl coaching experience...yesterday they were on their heels for 35 minutes before they figured out what to do...if it wasn't for toki making some remarkable saves it would've been 6-0 through 1 1/2 periods and dell in net

Definitely shoot me a PM. I just hope the Pegula's stay out of the way and don't push to rush it. Could see Adams as President in a few years.
- Buff36

Good post

My guess, pegula's aren't paying attention to the Sabres, like most fans.

They aren't gonna push until a new building is projected IMO. Kinda like the Bill's

I think Stanton's rap is undeserved there. I don't count the games he lost due to getting beaned in the face. He's been reasonably healthy for the modern player.

To the Canucks
Dahlin, Mitts, Ruotsalainen and 1st this year

To the Sabres
Horvat and Hughes.

Just my thought.

Good post Mike , there has been some rookie mistakes.

I'm optimistic in regards to donnie.

Both moves of sam and tage to center are underappreciated.

Guys look to be playing for each other.

Just getting Jack's voice out of the way, and having donnie's voice been the #1...

i think meatballs may only be able to take this team so far, and that's mainly on the developmental side...some coaches are like that...

the key for him is having them continue to believe in themselves and the systems in place despite the many losses they'll endure this season
