Playing tough teams is no excuse for being uncompetitive and disorganized and unprepared. Nobody expected them to win all these games. But they should be expected to at least look like an NHL team.

The effort has been there. They have not played well over this past 10 game stretch. Fletcher acknowledged that compared to the first 10 games of the season the team regressed in a lot of areas. But they did play much better the first 10 games, so why not see where they go from here. They clearly can play better than they have this past 10 games, they have already proven that.

Justin Braun is on our top pair and Brassard our second line center. Ellis and Hayes hasn’t played any extended period of time this season. Why would you fire the coach if you haven’t seen a full roster play yet?

If this season continues to be a dumpster fire, I can see the whole coaching staff getting axed. I don't expect CF will lose his job this quickly.

Fletcher was excellent. Gave an update on all injured players, talked about how bad the PP has been since the 2014-2015 season and why (he believes its due to 1. bad zone entries and 2. lack of players with true scoring ability from the flanks; so its a personnel issue) and talked about how bad the team has looked these past 10 games versus how well they played the first 10 games. It was very insightful, you should be able to catch a replay on youtube.

I'm as frustrated as anyone about where this team is right now, but I don't know how any serious hockey fan can watch Fletcher's presser today and walk away with the idea that this guy should be fired. Its delusional to think this. Fletcher is on top of things, that is what came across to me. He has the pulse of the team, the players, the coaches and the overall organization. I'm sorry if the facts he conveyed today did not match your own personal agenda's, but to me, he is right. We have to get this team back and see what we have before he decide what to do next. There is still plenty left in the season for the Flyers to turn this around.

I’m one of the morons who would have traded Konency for Laine for potential alone but that’s me.

Hurray! Fletcher stated the truth: he does not have the personnel, natural goal scorers from the flank, on this roster and that is the number 1 reason the PP has stunk here since 2014-2015 season! Fletcher stated he has tried to address this in recent drafts, so good for him, HE GETS IT! Teams that have these types of players don't trade them.

Yes he did, and he can certainly help the PP, but what is the cost to the other areas of the game like 5 on 5? There is a reason the Jets traded a player of his skill level.

He proved during the past off season that he most definitely does not have the pulse of the team. You yourself have called for a rebuild. You are contradicting yourself. Again, look at the disorganization and dysfunction with the team on the ice. Just getting Hayes and Ellis back does not fix that. Their return is not imminent. A week or two of continued play at this level pretty much means the season is over.
