Since the Rangers kicked off their rebuild in 2017 they have 4 1st round picks and 4 2nd round picks playing for them and contributing. The Rangers are young and fast, and showing they are for real this year. The Flyers are currently old and slow, they're a dinosaur on skates trying to compete in a faster modern game. Its time for a true rebuild here, and I believe if things don't turn around soon it will start at the deadline. CF who is typically available to the media has turned down meeting requests over the past 2 weeks, maybe that is an indication that he knows more changes need to be made?

I think what you guys should take from our rebuild, you have to overstuff the cabinet. As many guys that are contributing for us, we have guys like Lias, Kravstov, etc that looks like wasted picks/prospects that we acquired. You probably can't be lucky where an Adam Fox literally falls in your lap because he only wants to play for you, but you can for certain replicate a Coburn or Timonen/Hartnell trade

You wouldn't want the guy who ran the Wild into the ground for a decade rebuilding the Flyers? How come?

I think there might be some better options…considering that for this to actually happen Fletcher will have already failed in the job he was brought here for….I don’t think he would get the chance to do a complete rebuild or as the Flyers Honcho’s will call it…a retool.

Two flies in your ointment here. One, Voracek was 25 years old, had just finished 2nd in the league in assists and 5th in scoring and looked to be on the verge of stardom when Hextall re-signed him. Expecting York and Zamula to fill a top pairing lead defenseman role is a sure fire young player killer. That's what they did to Provorv only he was younger at 19. He would be a better player today if he was broken in properly in my opinion. You can't trade Provorov.

The reality in the league is you get an extra point for OT or SO wins, however the league can call it an OT win/loss all they want, but in the end its a tie!

Agreed. There are no defenders left, this franchise has basically hit rock bottom.

More of an indication the players are the problem for now tuning out their 3 & 4th coaches for the core.

Of course the players are the problem here. The Flyers have been slow and lacked skill for quit some time, and their "top players" are NOT top players in the league. Giroux at one point was, but he's not any more. The Flyers need a reset. They did not draft and develop well enough under Hextall and currently under CF we have some prospects but its unclear what if anything they will be. This is just not good enough. To be drafting and developing since 2014 and have barely 5 players on the roster to show for it is just NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Farabee and TK are nice players, but clearly they are not top players and probably never will be. Provey is a nice player as well, but clearly he is showing he is not a top player in this league. Without true top players, there is no way to compete, especially in this division this season. Its time to knock it down and rebuild, and the Rangers showed it can happen pretty fast if you are committed to it and make the right decisions. You don't have to get lucky with a 3rd round pick nor do you need to draft Connor MacDavid with the number 1 pick either to retool and contend.

We’ll take it under advisement but right now we’re trying to tap into that 2015 ranger magic that we’re in the process of recreating. We’re dealing with some injury issues but I have a good feeling about it
