I think this might have helped a bit…

Well yeah, but I mean Nylander instead of Virtanen. Matthews is awesome, Nylander is probably the next best player on the team. He drives play, having Tavares as a 2C kinda helps as well.

You are right. If it was a top notch organization some players would overlook some of the other issues. But not all players. And not all coaches/ executives etc

I agree completely Scoob.

It takes a ton to actually want out, once you settle in a city alone or with a family and start to create a life. You make tons of money and can essentially do anything you want in life. Almost everyone again almost will form bonds with players on the team and become friends with anywhere from 1 or 2 to almost everyone. You will find your group of guys and want to win and do your job. That being said losing is hard but if I were a player the part that would break me is idiocy from management. The Canucks are definately at that point. I hope they figure it out

No one wants to come to Vancouver because the organization is dysfunctional.

Anything else is bearable and in the city/province is actually appealing to many despite it's high cost if you be part of a winning organization. There's just no evidence at this point that a plan is in place to actually make this happen any time soon.

This
How many of our star players have had issues with this team? Outside of the Sedins, who had a rough break in period, I can think of many.

No one wants to come to Vancouver because we have an awful owner, sky high cost of living and taxes, garbage media, a garbage history/ culture and a sh!t climate
- CanuckDon

Not to mention it smells like weed.

Canucks got the best player in the 2017 draft at #5...sorry, not a valid excuse.

That doesn't mean that Number 5 the best player in one draft is as good as the #1 in a different draft.

Did Edmonton get Mcjesus all 5 times they drafted #1?

2006 draft the best player has almost 1000 points. 2007 draft top player has 1100 with one less season.

We got lucky and got the best player, they got lucky and got to pick at #1 - selecting the best player....still not a valid excuse!!

Both D taken before him are more valuable. Speaking of that draft, I’m surprised how bad Rathbone is this year.

You weren't much of a stat guy while the Flames were losing. You know all of this gloating is gonna bite you in the ass right?

Probably but for now it’s fun. I’ll take all the abuse when things go south.

That's actually true, Heiskanen and Makar actually might be better players. Ok, we got the best forward

Oh my God, young player struggles after 20 games so he's going to be poop for the rest of his career LOL....(frank) me, get off your soapbox. FYI....players struggle from time to time.

Exactly. Getting Taylor Hall is exactly like getting Connor McDavid.

Sutter is the main reason, but they sure dont seem to miss him in hindsight
- neem55

Gio is a great guy but captained the team to 1 playoff series victory against the Canucks and he was hurt for that series. Dressing room was in shambles last year much like the Canucks this year. He couldn’t right the ship. I’m glad they didn’t give up picks to protect him.
And yes Vantel, Gudbransin is playing a Sutter type game, tough hard in front of the net and has the same amount of points as 10 million man OEL.

Pettersson doesn't get to play with a player better than he is. Matthews has Marner.
