Not saying it is down to any of the players mentioned ( if Raffl,Aube-Kubel or Hagg )
But NHL.com did a feature about the Flyers in August saying after 6 additions in off-season they are the most improved team in Metro
And not to mention all the prospects Bill just listed
In my view only Farabee and maybe Frost will be legit roster players
Now 3 months on the most improved team in Metro is a complete mess

Raffl cost slightly more than Thompson, but is a far better player. |

Its almost unwatchable how they are playing, i'd rather throw bleach in my eyes.

It’s amazing that after a month of doing almost nothing offensively Bee, Cam, Brassard are all still + 7,9,8. Also, not to mention the team is -15 in goal differential. 200 foot players.
Wish we could say the same about our leader of comfort & mediocrity. |

Where are the prospects now?
Frost -- now seemingly back on track (fingers crossed), and in NHL.
Farabee -- blossomed last year, streaky season so far, currently injured.
Allison- Finally got healthy last year after torn ACL and a foot surgery. Showed promise in the AHL. High ankle sprain in Sept 2021 Rookie Game. Close to returning for Phantoms, not quite ready.
Laczynski -- Left hip surgery. Then right hip surgery. Out the entire 2021-22 season.
Foester -- separated collarbone late last season, injured shoulder this season. Currently out at least 5 months after surgery.
Rubtsov -- Following the 2016 draft, had broken nose, two concussions, shoulder surgery, another shoulder injury, wrist surgery and out again currently due to injury.
Ratcliffe -- Currently struggling in the AHL. Last season was a lost year due to broken ribs, collapsed lung and late season ankle injury/ surgery.
York -- Having rookie ups and downs in the AHL. Currently in Covid protocol.
Zamula -- Back surgery that cost him the second half of the 2019-20 season. Another injury this year in camp. Having a roller coaster second pro season. Still well-regarded long term.
Wisdom -- Showed promise in AHL last year until he had a nasty bout with Covid. Did come back to finish the season. Shoulder surgery in August. Close to being ready to play again at OHL level. - bmeltzer

Yes everyone is frustrated but still I dont get it
Aube-Kubel plays for Avalanche
Robert Hagg does 18 minutes a game
Michael Raffl does 15 minutes 5on5 with Benn and Seguin
And about all 3 you heard last year that they are easy replaceable with better prospects
Where are all this prospect NOW - goenzoy
Add in Jake and Ghost producing at a high level to the list.
The pattern seems to be that this team simply has not been able to get the most out of their players, either vets or prospects.
There's a general dysfunction here from management on down. Everybody says the right things, seems to do the right things, but the minute the product hits the ice the whole thing starts to go sideways.
Throw more players and prospects into the grinder and you're not gonna get a different result. The players themselves are not the entire problem, as we've clearly seen as our discards go on to shine year after year. |

That “managerial dysfunction” would make sense if it was one GM & one coach during this stretch. The fact that it has been multiple people filling those positions should say everything about the C. His laid back lackadaisical leadership is the problem. Say what you want about Scott but he has nothing to do with effort, poor starts, playing down to competition, 10 game loosing streaks etc etc that is a 100% indicator the captain has ZERO business being a captain

This is true. They have enough talent to compete on a nightly basis. Some of it is effort. Most of it is team structure. They look slow because they play slow and disjointed. Of course, not all of them are speedskaters but they skate well enough. Imprecise passes, hesistance with the puck, terrible spacing and the inability to win 50/50 pucks regularly kills this team. Couple that with a lack of full effort and you get the Flyers.

jake is coring how he normally does. and has a very high offensive zone start rate.
ghost is having one of his better years to start the season....also looking at the numbers i don't think shayne will be able to sustain his level....lets see how long this lasts for both players.

Why?? Why?? Why would a team on a 7 game losing streak who played a putrid game the night before get an off day..I just dont get it. If the coach was a guy like Keenan or Torts they would have been skating yesterday with their equipment bags on their back. At the very least have a low intensity practice where you work on your dismal PP or god forbid get some shoot out reps. The wjhole organization has gone soft. Geez the average guy skated around 16 minutes on Wed you mean they cant practice for an hour the next day. Last year they whined about not enough practice time this year just giving days off when could be working on something. Losers and they have accepted being losers..Ok now I feel better!!!, |

I liked Pitlick but not at the cap hit he is getting now. Id rather walk away.
Hartman... thats going too far back now. He didn't impress me when he was here. He is having a good year, but he's cracked 30 points once in his career. I wouldn't have taken a chance on him for this to be his career year. That wouldve been quite the gamble |

Haha you think he wants to re-sign here? This organization has never iced more than a bubble team ever since the 2010 playoffs. They should be labeled a bottom 5 organization in all of hockey. |

Disgraceful. & if they had a real captain like a pronger he would demand they practice or at least run a captains practice. G will probably have them get together for another closed door meeting 🙄 |

I've never been a G critic. But he is the common denominator. And would explain slow starts to games year after year.

I agree. At minimum go over the basics to drive home there importance. Take off Tuesday next week. This team needs to figure it out. Can't do that on "off" days.

People pretending they like Hartman because he’s playing well. He’s been nothing to talk about for all but two seasons in his career and didn’t look like a fit while he was here. He happened to Find a home in Minnesota, good for him. |

So G is too fault for Lindblom JVR Coots Farabees poor play for the vast majority of this season? If this guy wasn’t on this team they’d be a basement dweller. Probably better off if they didn’t haha |
