Who takes a 34 year old Zuc at 6mm AAV for 2 more years even if he waives?

I’m counting on Fletcher.

The Rangers are looking for a middle six forward, I'd send Zuccarello to the Rangers and eat a third of his remaining deal In exchange for Vitali Kravtsov.

Gorton is bringing Kravtsov to Montreal, book it!

I have no idea what EK is smoking but the colors must be very vivid and supernatural in his mind Calidescope colors very delusional

Gallagher makes a ton of money for quite a few more years. Going into the later part of his age. Im not sure the list is gonna be very big. Unless Montreal are gonna commit to a rebuild and retain half.

Highest bidder can have him.... same goes for 95% of that roster

Which 5% would you keep?

They'll retain a third at the most, If the team is getting Gallagher for 3.25 million dollars for the duration of his contract, the return would need to be ridiculous

Suzuki, Caufield, Romanov, Poehling & Evans, and a couple prospects.... would like to hang on to Anderson as well but if the return is right, he can go too

Build around the youth, keep adding to the young core through the draft and by selling off current assets, there's really only one way to do it.... enjoy your shower Nasty!

Habs already have a couple C that can't score.... we'll take Coronato and Valimaki and retain a third of Gally's salary and throw in Josh Brook just because we're friendly Canadians

Makes a lot of sense but Gallagher just has too much term.

And a 27 year old C who can't score is not exactly high on the list for a team heading for a full rebuild

If Pitt wants to get younger and free up cap space then Malkin for Gallagher makes sense. Especially since Malkin is signing as a free agent with Ovechkin. Has to be at least an E3. Pitt also had a pretty high HBDQ score so they are desperate.

Malkin might be 35 but he hasn't even become a man yet. Maybe Pitt adds a 1st. Opens up cap space for MAF to return to Pitt.

Not sure how much market there is for a 29 yr old, injury prone forward who is on a 15 goal pace and is on 6.5m yr for five more seasons. Bad contracts like this got MB fired

The Wild cap situation doesn't look good now but they will move Zuccarello on or near the deadline and Talbot will be gone after the 22/23 season. Why Guerin gave Kaprizov 9 million at this point In his career Is beyond me.
- Shady1962

Honestly, I would take Kaprizov's contract over Jack Hughes'.
I don't get that deal AT ALL.
Hughes was a perfect bridge deal candidate

When Gordon Scott was hired I said the incoming GM will move UFAs like Chiarot and Wideman, but otherwise just spend the year evaluating the roster. There won't be a blockbuster deal. But Ek's sources have names like Gallagher, Tarasenko, Monihian in the mix.

So fans of Pittsburgh, LA, Minnesota, and NyR can get their hopes down now. Gallagher is not going to any of these teams
