Gallagher is in the 1st year of a 6 year contract and now the Habs want to trade him?

When Gordon Scott was hired I said the incoming GM will move UFAs like Chiarot and Wideman, but otherwise just spend the year evaluating the roster. There won't be a blockbuster deal. But Ek's sources have names like Gallagher, Tarasenko, Monihian in the mix.

Tarasenko isn’t going anywhere if the deal isn’t a steal for Army, I’d be surprised if Tarasenko hasn’t removed his trade request. He seems more than happy nowadays and normally has a fellow Russian to play with on his line

No team is interested yes he is a good player on a bad contract and has become injury prone. Would help a team yes but Montreal would have eat a lot of that contract.
