Travis green made him fall down every shift and be scared to battle. Why would he coach this way? Silly Green for making Pouty soft - CanuckDon
Travis Green wasn't smart enough to try throwing some muscle on his wing so he could play to his strengths freely. Look at Hughes now that he has a little muscle beside him. Big difference.

Move Myers up to Petey's wing then? Solves two problems at once

Nah, Hughes ain’t soft. Your boy Elias is. Stick Reeves on his wing and he still wouldn’t win a battle

Move Myers onto left bench and give Pete every possible shot. Green has really lost touch. Garland with petey may get him going, instead it’s do the same stagnant poop and hope for the best and keep the giraffe on the worst ok in the league the last two years
Benning must have the worst record for general managers in Canucks history. Wins / Losses and maybe winning percentage? At least for any GM who’s been at the helm for 200+ games. - LeftCoaster
You tried this only a couple of months ago and I schooled your dumb ass... and then you rewrote your posts and still got it wrong and now you try again.
Pat Quinn... worse win%, Harry Neal worse win% and wins, Jake Milford worse win% and wins, Norman Poile worse win% and wins. All these guys were here for 200+ games.

Not my boy. I have joint custody of Garland with dbot. Believe me with between that lads behavioural issues and dbot's "progressive parenting" I've got enough on my plate.
Besides it was late and I was throwing you a goodnight troll. I don't really care enough to further the argument.

Not to be argumentative because Lefty is being over dramatic but your link does not include the last two seasons. JB’s winning percentage as of today stands at .434 (this season so far is .375). My math might be off as I just did a quick calculation!
This is a decent article that looks at GM success for all GM with 7+ years on the job. There’s only Milbury and Maclean that’s worse. And with this season’s record so far JB might just have sunk below Milbury.

OEL - Myers have held their head above water so far this season. Better suited to more 2nd pairing usage.
Canucks just need 2 top pairing defenders. - manvanfan
I think we're gonna need a draft miracle for that because of the amount of cap we have tied up in our D. Unless we are able to move someone out, he needs to be on an ELC.

Need someone other then Benning drafting defensemen in the first 3 rounds to get someone on an ELC.
Make OEL - Hughes your top pairing and fire Myers out of a cannon. Problem solved. - 1970vintage
I honestly haven't seen a lot out of OEL. I mean he sticks up for his teammates and throws the occasional hit. Shoots lots but nothing really come from them. He's caught out of position quite a bit and no real offense so far. For 7 mil I expected more by now. He's the 3rd highest paid player on the team.

Totally agree, but in the few occasions I have seen them together I’ve liked it. But that was always late in a game down by a goal. OEL always on the right side.
Though I didn’t have high expectations, so it was easy to exceed them…

Moving Beags Rous and LE's contracts out were more important than OEL scoring high at the time. Most of us knew he's on the downside...we get what we get lol
