They need to sign mccannion first and he going to imo 10 to 12 million per year. And if your going all in to win a cup you do whatever it takes to win. - Scott1977
Are you 10 years old?
Or just have the spelling and grammar skills of a second grader?
So they let Grubauer go to get Kuemper. After 25 games they are finished with him and are going to get MAF. Both guys walk as UFAs. So who do they sign then? Dubnyk I guess. - HockeyBuzzed
It be a tdl deal if it happens but seeing Sakic history he most likely not going to pursue maf. Time will tell what happens.
Expiring contract, awful numbers and probably at the end of his career. I’d offer nothing over a 3rd and that’s if Chicago takes 1/2 his cap hit in return.
I don’t get why there is always so much hype with Fluery. He won a cup, as a starter almost 13 years ago and since then was mediocre at best losing his job, twice, to Murray who won both cups, lost in the SCF, then lost his job to Lehner. All while playing on really good teams. I’m not trying to diminish the things he’s done, but saying he’s the greatest goalie ever available at the deadline and a playoff superstar is just not true at this point.
And I know I’m a Kings fan and this sounds biased, but why wouldn’t those teams rather have Quick who is playing good right now on a bad team? I think Quick would be the better option over Fluery at this point. - LAkings96
Why do so many people spell his freaking name wrong? Even Ek spelled it right.
So McCrimmon's master plan was to give MAF away so that he could later reacquire a goalie he didn't want by giving up an asset? You should ghostwrite for Ek. - ddMoose
Leaving aside the commentary about greatest, it's an expiring contract right? And these are pro-rated to the remainder of the season ... and the trading deadline as nearly the end of the season, right?
Ok- so why would Chicago have to retain jack anything? And for that matter why would anyone else even be worried about it at that point in the season...
and all of which is a moot point, as I wouldn't even bother unless Fleury himself actually wanted to move ... it's basically a who cares? I like MAF, he's a good guy, and the Hawks aren't going anywhere - so I mean, does it really matter? To me the answer ends up being ... not really.
