We got a great coach -- as Bill likes to tell us in defending him - Jack Adam's award winner, took two separate teams to the SCF's but can't seem to coach himself out of am eight-game LOSING streak - that is roughly 10% of the season

Everyone can question the decision making of the coaches but the coach can’t play the game for these guys. How hard is it to understand that this collective group of players aren’t good?

Does anyone think that the Flyers just happen to get unlucky with picking lazy heartless players. No, they just follow the lead of this crap ass captain & become lazy. Another 10 game loosing streak for captain garbage here we come. He should be traded for a 7th rd pick tomorrow & it should all be torn down immediately. Tonight was inexcusable on rest against a backup who sucks & without their stars

Giroux doesn't seem to like any coaches that say you have to work hard every night. It's becoming rather obvious that the coach is a goner, but I really hope they flush the room out too including #28!! While he put up lots of pretty individual numbers he hasn't done squat in the leadership department during his tenure as captain. Results don't lie!! How many coaches is this since Giroux has been here?

We need to find our swagger, we need to compete and need to find a way to play 60 minutes. We started with a few good shifts, then gave up a goal and didn't play the right way after that. I have played a few embarrassing games and this is one of them.

There are teams that would trade for Giroux now or at the deadline...The Rags being one needing a good faceoff guy. The team trading for G wouldnt be trading to get him as a leader and would just be a short rental. The big ?? is would G waive his NTC. IMO he would but only to go to a close east Coast team with a playoff shot..Canes..Caps..or Rags .

What I find very interesting is that not one player has come out in support of AV..Usually you hear " its not the coach its us players " from someone but none of that being said. Goes to the weakness of this group of players. AV isnt the answer here but he isnt the sole reason this team is so bad. There was a reason why when the Rangers in March of 2018 sent out the rebuild letter that shortly after they fired AV. They wanted him nowhere near a young team. He nearly destroyed Kreider and Buchnevich amongst others. We all agree lots of changes need to be made because just bringing in a new coach we will go through the same thing in a couple of years.

I came into this season with a lot of hope and optimism. I looked at this team on paper and thought, they will be better in goal, better on defense and have good offensive depth. And the team started 6-2-2 in the first 10 games and my optimism grew. But now, this is embarrassing and ridiculous. I am so tired of hearing that this team has lost its confidence, is not playing 60 minutes and is not playing the right way. These are professional athletes mind you, players that all through their development have played in championship games and have shown good success (e.g. Carter Hart) or are strong NHL veterans like Hayes. But once they put on a Flyers jersey, they don't know how to play the game the right way or are not conditioned enough to play 60 minutes of hard hockey? I thought last year this team quit on their coaches and I can't help but watch this debacle night after night and not believe the same thing. I have no other explanation for this. Players like G and Cam who throughout their careers have scored lots of goals, all of a sudden forgot how to shoot the puck? Defenders like Braun and Provey who at a minimum have been solid performers can't defend the slot area and stop second and third chances? Players like Couts and TK apparently can't complete a pass from here to there without turning the puck over?

I watched the Bruins Tampa game the other night live, the Bruins are down 2-0 and Eric Haula (a new FA signing this past off season) executed a blind between his own legs pass across the crease to a spot where HE KNEW Charlie Coyle would be for an easy goal past one of the best goalies in the world. That play exuded player and team chemistry, players knowing where their teammates are going to be on the ice. When have we seen this from the Flyers? I think it was on the PP with a JVR tap in off a bank pass behind the net which was about 10 games ago?

No this is not about coaching, this is about the players on this team and the malaise they allow themselves to get into. Sure, we can fire AV and get all new coaches here (except Lappy of course, he stays because he blocked a puck with his face eons ago) and we will get a bump for a few weeks. And then water will find its level and it will be back to this team and these players, and the same results. The Flyers do not have the personnel on this team, plain and simple, and no coach can make gold out of lead, unless of course they know how to do nuclear transmutation. Its time to clean house and start acquiring the right kind of talent that is needed to compete in today's game. The Flyers right now are built for the game a decade or more ago, its time for a big upgrade!
