If you look at the numbers from the game, it shows that the Flyers skated hard and played with effort. They just can't score for a variety of reasons. They don't play as a team with puck support. They play as individuals. Passing up clear shot opportunities and playing with poor structure. You can play as hard as you can under those circumstances and it's not going to matter. The also have a major confidence issue as individuals. Blame Giroux all you want for not being able to single handedly overcome all of that. This is the same argument that was made last season. Need to change the culture and all that nonsense.

The fact that they are playing as individuals was brutally obvious last night. That's why I hate to say it, but this team appears as if they aren't being coached at all. Although I suppose when everyone is in a funk at the same time it can give that appearance as well. I wonder if the Avs will spot the Flyers a 5 spot tonight?

Look at Bryce Harper this year. MVP of the NL. They did not make the playoffs. Must be a lot of garbage time stats for him? Also, weird he leaves and the Nats win???? He must be a bad leader.

Need to clean house (coaching). The lack of offensive production from key guys makes me think we have no confidence in our coaching/system. Its insanity to watch this team dump and chase and lose possession over and over again. i think the players all know this and it’s killing any team and self confidence. We can’t sit on our hands any longer.

The problem is how many forwards on this team have the speed/skill to maintain puck control into the other team's zone. I just don't see many if any that are capable of this and that is scary. Teams stand up at the blue line on them cause they aren't afraid of their speed and they force them to dump it in. Seems like a combo of coaching and lack of skill which gives me serious doubts about this team.....to say the least.

I think they win one of the next two though. Law of averages and such.

I agree and disagree; we lack skill (and finishing ability) but i think we have some players with speed. TK can fly when he’s on, Laughton gots some solid straight line speed, Farabee as well. As MJL has said at times, we aren’t slow when we stay skating/moving. I know some will disagree but we could really use Jake’s entrances into the o-zone. Both 5v5 and on the PP

If Alain Vigneault is fired, it should be Fletcher right alongside him.

It is a weird group. They just don't show up. What team has defensemen who don't prepare for rebounds or watch out for guys behind the net? This team is groundhog day way too much.

I didn't say anything about bringing in an old and recycled coach. What makes you think they won't or can't do that in the off season? Stating that this team doesn't have the talent to compete in this league is simply wrong. They have the talent to be a playoff team. I guess it depends on what your definition of compete is. This team has a player mix issue, some talent issues and a major coaching issue. Dave Hakstol got far more out of a far less talented team that Vigneault has out of the Flyers.

I thought this team had the talent too, but the reality is punching me in the face every game I watch. Their PP is below dismal. They are averaging less than 2 goals per game for more than a month, in fact the last time they scored more than 3 goals in a game was October 27th! Like I said, fire AV and get the 2 week bump, but after that I don't see how it doesn't come back to this.

I'm not saying I agree with it, only I would be surprised if they were bringing in an entire new coaching staff. However as I earlier predicted: "Multiple people said to keep an eye on Rick Tocchet as a replacement..",
