Agree. I don't really care who takes over for the duration of this season as long as it's with an interim tag so a thorough search can be done for a permanent (lol) hire.

The fact that they are playing as individuals was brutally obvious last night. That's why I hate to say it, but this team appears as if they aren't being coached at all. Although I suppose when everyone is in a funk at the same time it can give that appearance as well. I wonder if the Avs will spot the Flyers a 5 spot tonight?

Yes I don’t think AV was the entire problem but we’ll find it in a few months. Maybe chuckie said to him we’re tanking and he didn’t want any part of it

Travis has some good wheels too. We just don't play fast. Is that effort? Occassionally we play with speed but not nearly as often as we need.

I miss jakes entrances into the zone, then his pass to the other team, and lazy backcheck

The teams under Hakstol simply were devoid of overall talent. They basically had one line, one defense pairing and a good checking center. Hakstol got them into the playoffs with that. Albeit carried by Giroux.

I would not doubt that if up to Fletcher he would have given AV more time, but that he was forced to act sooner by Scott. The fact that Lebrun reports "I'm told the Flyers haven't spoken to any other coaching candidates at this point" supports this. I would also imagine that Fletcher is now on notice also.
