I bet av feels silly working last Monday when the team had a day off - corduroy
I think he's just fine collecting his 10 million over the next two seasons to do nothing. |

I would not doubt that if up to Fletcher he would have given AV more time, but that he was forced to act sooner by Scott. I would also imagine that Fletcher is now on notice also. - jd250
and you know this how? your second part is spot on, which probably has more to do with the firing than Dave Scott.

Im afraid Hart is not that good at goaltending due to a super fragile mental game (which was touted as a strength).
667 save percentage isn't good in midget hockey.
Phuck I woke today and was happy to say Phuck this team unless the fire the entire coaching staff.
Typical we get a half measure.
Phuck this team and our
"Never ending depth"

You guys won’t like this answer, you need to let Yeo finish the year out. Flyers next coach needs to be a grand slam of a hire. Wait until the off-season so you can interview assistants or even guys in juniors. I’m not sure there’s anyone out there now that will have any sort of long term success. Torts is a great coach, but he’s the modern day Keenan where his shelf life is short.
Personally, I’d go for a first time coach. Tim Gleason of the hurricanes is young, and works with defensemen. I wonder if old pal Rod would let you talk to him |

Pederson won a Championship. Comparing all these slugs to him is absurd.

So I guess the GM didn't get the miracle response from his press conference he was hoping for? His press conference should've been for talking about why he fired AV. - MJL
This decision today, while I agree is the correct move to make, only makes Fletcher look more incompetent and buffoon like after that press conference last week. Rather than pull the trigger with ample time to make a coaching change, he waits until he's in the midst of 5 games in 7 days and only fires 2 out of 3 on a game day lol. If there's one guy I trust to make the best decision under pressure, the answer clearly is not Cliff Fletcher. I would argue that he is, and rightly should be, on the hot seat now. |

I have no concerns with Hart at all other than the team playing in front of him.

considering he did it in the middle of back to back games, I'm sure he hasn't. But Im also sure he has a list already....considering November he's had lots of time to put it together.

It's the GM's job to get the coach and player mixes in sync so it works. That hasn't happened in quite a while now. - Scoob
Well yea because there was a plan when Hextall took over and they abandoned it. That started in 2014. Then Fletcher trying to wheel and deal his way to contention. That's another what, 2 1/2 years. So here we are in 2021, soon to be 2022 and in the same spot. Until this organization learns what needs to be done and sticks to it. They will be floundering.
