going to be hard to beat Arizona in the Wright sweeps. - wingz4life
I'm not holding my breath for Wright, but Arizona doesn't deserve to win any sort of lottery ever |

Barzal and Pulock to Philadelphia for Konecny, Sanheim, and Lindblom (exact cap hit match)? Both Barzal and Konecny seem stuck after breakout season and neither Pulock nor Sanheim have been effective (when healthy) the last 2 years. |

as we see other teams make some shake up moves I would love to see Lou do something. He clearly effed this sht up and needs to do something. Chara to a team that needs defensive depth for a late round pick. Parise.. same. Bailey just to send a message.. something has to be done to wake these guys up.
Bailey did everything he could to prevent that Dobson goal... by the way. - niteislander

There's hardly a single player that can avoid having blame placed on. Maybe the goaltenders, but that'd be about it. Not one single guy is having a "good" season.
This has been an absolute nightmare. Even if they manage to turn it around and get back to playing good hockey, they have an absolutely massive hole to dig out of in the most competitive division in the league. They'll need to string together a couple long winning streaks to even be in the conversation for the playoffs. - eichiefs9

Pulock and Pelech have literally been one of the best shutdown d-pairs in the entire league for the last 2-3 years. He's not going to score a ton of points, but he's a very good player. That deal would be absolutely atrocious for the Islanders. |

Beau has been downright awful without even one iota of positive anything to speak about his game since the season started. He rises to the top as far as bad play goes imo. Bailey has been better then him and it’s literally difficult(just because it’s Bailey)for me to say that. |

Beau's non backcheck after that horrific Pass or shot in OT was horrendous... He has been subpar at best. Bailey turns the puck over every time he touches it though.. doesn't skate.. has about 5 shots on goal all year and for that 1 game they decided to try him on the PK was an absolute disaster.

Since u want to give us all your underperformers and bad contracts for 2 of our better players how about we do this instead..
You give us Atkinson and Farabee and we will give you Chara, Parise, Palmieri, and Aho.

To me, Beau has been the biggest disappointment. Yeah, worse than Bailey because I had very little expectations for Bailey. Beau does absolutely nothing. I mean, it's astounding that ALL of these guys went from being able to produce somewhat to ZERO. Talk about being snakebitten. |

How Trotz continues to throw out Bailey on line 1 makes very little sense. He has no stats at ALL playing with Barzal. He produces nothing. |

I think there’s some truth to this. My expectations are certainly higher for Beau then Bailey. In fact I was hoping this was the season that maybe the guy could find some consistency. All aspects of his game are pretty much off the charts bad. Like I said in an earlier post his bad play stands out among all of the other terrible play we’ve been seeing and that says a lot. With that said I saw some glimpses of other players snapping out of their respective funks most notably Pageau without even mentioning his goal last game. He was working out there which had been lacking. Dobson of course was awesome last game hopefully he can keep it up. |

I saw that too with Pageau. Hopefully it spreads to the rest of them. They really need Brock back at the #2 C.
Dobson shows flashes of greatness that make you believe he can be more than just a "good dman". He's young, and as we all know, it takes a few years for dmen to develop properly. I can see him as a top 2 guy. |

You’re a moron but I feel like enough people have told you that on hockeybuzz and every other facet of your life that you’re aware. None the less I figured I would reinforce it for you. |

The appropriate description is a moron wrapped around an idiot. One who sits at the bottom of his/hers parents basement stairs. Fed by a sling shot. One who is master of its peanut butter castle.

They constantly turn down the oportunity to shoot the puck from the middle of the offensive zone to pass it to a guy who is at a MUCH worse angle and either miss the net or it's an easy goalie save. It's very frustrating to watch.
All of this is on Lou and it's up to him to fix his mess. He allowed Eberle to get taken, traded Leddy and Toews and Added a bunch of very old guys who absolutely stink. Parise, Chara, and Palmieri are terrible. - niteislander
When you say he allowed Eberle to get taken you make it sound like we lost a snipper. Ebbs score over 20 goals once in five season with the Isles. He was an inconsistent goal scorer that struggled. Would have rather seen Bailey go. Cannot fault Lou for this.
Palmieri has a better history then Ebbs and is more consist. Cannot fault Lou for this.
Toews, I believe is Lou's biggest mistake. This was the guy to replace Leddy and provide the Isles with a solid top four.
Leddy, I was not disappointed in seeing him go. I felt Lou would replace him. Where Lou has failed is in not replacing Toews and Leddy. You can fault Lou for this.
No one can honestly say that they thought Parise would have zero goals. He is a solid player for the top 9. Cannot fault Lou for this.
I honestly wanted Chara, I did not realize that his game had broken down that much. I do not think he should be in the top 4. Lou gets some blame on this. This was to be holding spot.
