No, no, and I have no idea. Even if we are stuck with JVR, it's not the end of the world. I personally think he can be moved with patience.
I can all but guarantee you Ellis isn't here long term (he doesn't want to be here). He will be moved at some point. Despite what you or many others may believe, plenty of other teams still believe in his talent and would take him in the right deal. Again, we just have to be patient.
I haven't forgotten any of that. Doesn't change the fact the Flyers cap situation isn't bad. - mochoson
Did you see what Nashville got for Ellis from the Flyers? That's for a player when healthy is a legit top pairing RH defenseman. Now he's missed how many games? You think it will be easy to move him? He has LTIR written all over him. Atkinson along with Hayes is destined to be a high cap hit role player.

It is about time! AV has done nothing with this team since day one. He destroys the confidence in young players. Thank god he is gone. - joegreif17
This DOES seem to be the theme of the day on NHL radio. More than a few pundits have questioned the development of our young players under this current (now partially former) regime. |

Are they looking for AVs pills?
Oh wait the dog literally pooped on the Flyers logo. Can’t make it up. - hereticpride
That was this morning. I was howling when I saw this!

Fletcher said the" flyers need to establish an identity". A hard working team is not what their identity is. |

Gostisbehere and Voracek are tearing it up. Those moves seemed to have backfired on the team especially in light of the poor performance of Yandle and Ristolainen.
LOTS of interesting Flyers talk today.

Thats just being negative talk. We know exactly how those players are, we had them for years....OR it was AV that made all their mistakes happen

Any disgruntled players around the league currently? This team needs every bargain deal it can get honestly. |

I thought Ghost played well last season. I dont think AV knew how to use him properly.
That being said, all I stated was what they said.

Spitting chicklets had brad marsh on and he was saying he was playing bad and asked clarke for advice to change things. He said clarke told him “he never had a bad practice” point is this team lacks from top to bottom. Slow starts lulls no accountability just so bad. Get g out of here. Get coots out of here get all them out |

Two Fletchy pressers in a week. He's got things running like a finely tuned Swiss watch. - PLindbergh31
Embarrassing. Hextall may have been moving at a snail’s pace but at least he had a vision and a plan. The whole organization reeks of dysfunction with no clear vision or path forward.
The GM saying they need an identity is kind of absurd considering it’s supposed to start with him. |

And where are all the people now with defending this weak team and players and coaches. Look around league. This team (frank)ed for a decade. Cool. Philly never will get it. Corporate run. Bottom line top priority with Scott. Fan base that accepts and defends dysfunction while facts and knowledge says otherwise. Laughingstock on par with arizona so sad actually for a once proud organization. What a (frank)ing letdown and slap in the puss of snider |

I liked ghost, his offense is off the charts. Just need to use him properly. He wasnt working here. If chuck knew the players were gonna quit on AV, then im sure he wouldve done things differently.

I kept posing the question to this message board when Fletcher was hired about his resume, and what makes people confident he will turn the Flyers around. No one really answered the question. Well here we are today, literally the laughing stock of the NHL. |

That’s GM and President of Hockey Ops lol
Roster is mediocre it’s like he’s begging players to step up and take over at this point. |

Id rather change plans every 3 years then have a 15 year plan IF your prospects actually turn out.
