Flyers were too SOFF

So yesterday sources were saying Tocchet. Today it's confirmed that they haven't even spoken to Tocchet. Interesting.

Team lacks leadership (both on the ice and behind the bench) and talent. There is not one natural goal scorer on the current roster. Farabee has been good and shows promise, but when the game is on the line, there’s no elite go-to guy. Cap and draft have been so horribly mismanaged for years. Horrible draft record (Nolan Patrick comes to mind), and filling a roster up with 3rd and 4th liners, at best. Again, Flyers lack elite talent. Teams like the Caps manage to be at the top every year, but still manage to draft extremely well, and/or make meaningful off season acquisitions (Oshie, Sheary, Jensen come to mind). Vigneault had to go…but why Yeo gets a pass is beyond me. Flyers never seem to go all in. Been a fan since the mid-70s. I bleed black and orange…but these days I really hate this organization because it’s like Groundhog Day every passing season.

Although Boudreau is now off the market, there are still some quality ex-head coaches still on the market. Tocchet almost makes too much sense given his playing history in Philly. However, if not Tocc, guys like Julien, Babcock, and Torts are still available.

Yep, fan since '80. I'm tired of the revolving head coaches, it doesn't seem to matter. This franchise is completely lost and lacks any identity at all.

They just get what they deserve at this point. I'm tired of this team and really don't even care what they do any longer. Bring on a new muppet, the fans will eat it up.

Since Hexy is known to lurk here, I wonder if he could chime in on what went wrong. Maybe he wants to come back to Philly. Take Malkin with him. Bring in Dubnyk to mentor Hart. Swap JVR for Gaudreau.

LOL Hextall was a turd. I hope he does lurk here, this mess is as much on Hextall as it is on Fletcher and Vigneault. Hextall the player was a man, Hextall the GM wears a skirt.

What happened was Fletcher panicked. Rick Tocchet Isn't needed at all, He's a popular retread/alumni pick. Tocchet Is a f$#%ing acorn! Fletcher fired one of the top 5 coaches In hockey with a guy who can't coach at all.

I think Ruff is safe in NJ. There's a difference in losing when everyone is playing & healthy vs when you've got drama like COVID and losing stars to injuries for big chunks of time.

Lindy hasn't had a normal season here yet. This is the first time we've even been able to have team practices since he's been here.

At some point it might be healthy to admit this has nothing to do with coaching and is just a garbage roster. Ek thinks if Tocchet starts playing Frost with Giroux things would be better. Wrong. Giroux is the guy who should be traded as a UFA rental. Voracek for Atkinson was an awful trade. Adding Risto was even worse. They aren't even close to contending. You need to fire sale and blow it up. Sources.

How's it on him. He was going for a rebuild. And your brilliant ownership decided to not do that fully. And now the team sits in shambles with a terrible GM in charge.
