They checked out the summer that Tanev, Toffoli & Markstrom left. Players openly questioning management moves or lack there of, is a pretty clear sign of disconnect. - Marwood
I'd like to ask Bruce what his opinion is about a system where you let the opposition pepper the goalie with shots for 60 minutes like Green tried to convince this team.
I'm sure the answer would have no less than 25 fux in it. - boonerbuck
We should then ask markstrom the same question.
The guy has more shutouts in one season than he did over his entire tenure as a cajuck.
More horvat, miller and introducing petey and podz and less lammiko, Pearson, Richardinson.
When you are the worst PK in the history of the first 25 games played, it's hard to go anywhere but up lol - Codes1087
Also the PK actually pressured the puck, with Green/Baumer sometimes it felt liker it was a 5v3 PK with how much they just sat back. People made fun of AV's passive system, especially when he first got here, but man did Green take passive play to a whole other level.

This is the biggest difference I noticed. But then as I mentioned before the game it was also one of the differences I expected from the systems of the new Coaching staff.

There’s a video on Sportsnet of Bruce’s after-game presser called “Boudreau forgets his player's name after first game behind Canucks bench” where he openly questions the sit back and wait approach on the PK. You can hear the sustain in his voice. Very telling.

I think Green's master plan was to tire out all 31 other teams in the league by the halfway mark and then, and only then, counter punch.
Too bad he never got a chance to bring plan all the way to fruition ... I guess we'll never know.

It gave me an excuse to post some Spinal Tap and have a good laugh. Love that scene. - Load Management
I never caught on to the cult of Spinal Tap . I tried watching it a few times but never made it through. I bet Lefty is the same. He doesn't seem like the type that would call it outstanding either.

Everyone has different tastes. To me it's one of the funniest movies ever made.
Watching the Oilers game and someone has the world's most annoying dog at the game. It keeps barking every time the puck goes into one end. So fucking annoying.
