I can understand your pain then. Year after year we send those "banjo-picking inbreds" home to wallow in their tears. |

Will it be Maurice's fault that Chevy never signed any right shooting right wingers ? |

do you ever find it strange that it is always us playing the banjo with blacked out teeth and wearing bomber uniforms? We never see anyone dressed as a banjo picking inbred wearing green.

It's called mocking. If they really did that, we wouldn't need to mock them! |

Give me a minute, I am going to ask uncle daddy if that is true. |

So does Winnipeg stomp all over Buffalo tonight? |

I'm curious as I know many Jets fans on here weren't happy with Wheeler. Do you guys think the reset for him being injured will help him be more fresh in the 2nd half of the season? |

Do the Jets get caught looking ahead to the Caps on Friday night when Buffalo visits tonight? |

Not sure about him, but I believe the Jets will rally and play better without him.

Ironic thing is that Blake Wheeler was probably playing the best game of his season the night he got hurt. Wheeler is a notoriously slow starter and the older you get, the longer it takes to get in shape. And let's not forget that Wheeler dealt with Covid earlier on.
I think Blake is still an elite player, but needs to cut the lengths of his shifts down to stay at that level. Especially true on PP.
No, I don't think the injury will help Wheeler later in the season, he will once again have to get back in shape, basically starting his season over. He can still be effective - just for shorter periods of time. Father Time waits for no one!

- Thought it was mice for Neal Pionk to issue an apology and "get well" to the Leafs Rasmus Sandin. Pionk is not a dirty player but hockey is a fast game and these things happen in a split moment - and players only have a second to react
- wonder if Jason Spezza of the Leafs feels the same as Pionk? He also has proven over the years he is not a dirty player
- not sure why Ian Cole of the Hurricanes didn't get a suspension as well for his hit on Scheifele! I guess if a guy gets up immediately it's classified as a good hockey hit by the DOPS. H-m-m-m?
- See that Jet draftee Torkelsso has made the Swedish Junior World Championship squad. Any word on the Jets Russian prospects - namely Chibisov? The USA's Luzius?
- Some idle thoughts on a idle day! |

Love Troy Westwood.
Even today that guy is masterful at getting after Rider fans. it's brilliant. |

To answer my own question - see that Nikita Chibrikov has made the Russian Junior Hockey squad.
So I believe we should have four draft selections to watch this year at the Championships:
- Perfetti, Canada
- Torgersson, Sweden
- Chibrikov, Russia
- Luzius, USA
- Not sure about the Belarus selection - Kuzmin? Belarus playing?
That's assuming that the World Championships go ahead in these Covid infested days. |

I have two possible solutions to this problem. We now have 8.25 million in cap space and we can use it on either:
1. Claude Giroux, or
2. Phil Kessel.
Both are right shooting forwards. Both are UFA’s at seasons end and could be had for relatively cheap.
We can most likely get Kessel or Giroux for a first round pick and a B prospect, such as 2022 first round pick and Dylan Samberg. I personally would prefer Kessel as he and Wheeler are real life best friends. |

Wheeler does not look like he’ll back this regular season. It’s called LTIR and Winnipeg should try and convince Wheeler to stay out for the entire season so that we can pick up either Giroux or Phil “the Thrill” Kessel to arm up for the playoffs. |
