When Mittelstadt was sidelined with an injury for 21 games, teammates often stopped by to check on him and hang out. The Sabres’ young players routinely gather away from the rink to watch football or hockey on TV. Mittelstadt, Rasmus Dahlin, Tage Thompson and Dylan Cozens are among the prominent core players taking ownership of how the team will function behind the scenes, much like Adams and Brind’Amour did that offseason before history was made in Carolina.

What identity did this roster create?

What role player(s) does this roster need?

Where are they looking/how many scouts are actually out looking vs watching YouTube highlights?

What current assets are tradable for upgrading the current roster w/o damaging the future?

The Coyotes have quite the trainwreck. I love how their owners come out (after months of the Gila Arena owners publicly calling them out) and said 'ohhh poop yeah we had no idea our bills weren't paid, we'll pay them all tomorrow!'
